I'm a fan of indie band Ego Function Error. Small but worldwide fanbase, diverse in their style but always on the rock side and, I think, great lyrics.

K-pop is all right. Too much sugar to my taste. I've tried to find Korean metal bands but looks like not much going on. Guess genre is not profitable like pop. Unless you already know, 서태지 and N.EX.T would be best bet. Japan on the other hand have many pretty good ones. Even anime musics have so much metal taste, only to be improved by musicians like erock331.

@@petezAAPete can and is, but everything that's not kpop doesn't get anywhere near the promotion it needs and deserves

It's amazing how she changes her clothes while singing! Seriously though, I love this band. I wish they'd come to the UK. Maybe I can sse them in concert in Korea? Are they very famous there? I have only found one album so far, Korea Road

Some of people has curiosity why Gostwind doesn't have 'h' inbetween G & S. There is simple meaning same as the band name of 'Megadeth'. Megadeth also doesn't have 'a' inbetween e & t.

I had just assumed it was because silent letters are pointless.

Well, that doesn't quite explain it, although you are right there is an H in Korean (it's in the name Hangul, after all). There are a few instances where you will see a double consonant in Korean, particularly when using foreign words, but they are rare and probably difficult to say. We can see though that that was not a concern for Gostwind though, considering they have other double consonants: 'st' or 'stw' and 'nd'.

Well actually there is a Hangeul H- ᄒ. It just doesn't work in writing the name because the way Korean is written, with one consonant, then one vowel, and sometimes one other consonant, so it would only work as g-o in the first block, not g-h-o
@InfernosReaper2 жыл бұрын
that and they get to be like Megadeth

@uberaudioexperience but usually they go bust because not popular enough. All Metal and rock were popular in the 80's and 90's

There were a total of 4 female vocalists. One couldn't release the album, and the other three participated one by one. 1ST album Oh Hye-won, 2ST album Wang Hae-kyung, 3ST Kim Ran, this song is Wang Hye-kyung.

@huntercoleherr7 жыл бұрын
It is Korean. What part of it doesn't "sound" Korean, and how?
@huntercoleherr7 жыл бұрын
Not really, it's normal Korean. This is a mix of metal and Korean traditional folk music 'Pansori', and Pansori has a very nasally, drawn out style of vocalization. That's probably what you're hearing.
@ShinShinoke6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's just traditional singing. Similar in Japan and China. Haven't they seen any Asian movies?
