The Hightower (I think it was Otto's older brother or cousin) hailed baby Aegon as "Aegon the Conqueror babe, Second of his Name" because the first Targaryen king, who conquered Westeros with his two sisters and three dragons, was Aegon I, called Aegon the Conqueror. When a man becomes king of Westeros, 'First of his Name' (or Second, Third, etc.) becomes part of his royal title; whether it is Rhaenyra's father Viserys, First of his Name, or Daenerys' father Aerys Targaryen, Second of his Name, or Robert Baratheon, First of his Name. The Hightower was both currying favor with Viserys and trying push the Hightower agenda of eventually putting baby Aegon on the Iron Throne instead of Rhaenyra. One reason that Daemon might have been able to cut the Crabfeeder in half so quickly is that Daemon bears the sword Dark Sister, one of two Targaryen ancestral swords; it is made of Valyrian steel and cuts like a super-knife. Dark Sister was borne by Aegon the Conqueror's mighty warrior-sister Visenya. (the sword of Aegon the Conqueror, Blackfyre, was borne by Targaryen kings through Aegon IV, and is currently carried by Daemon's brother Viserys)

Well politically Laenor was the better choice, neither of them realized Rhaenyra and Harwin would fall for each other. They develuped feelings after Rhaenyra and Laenor were already wed, otherwise I think Harwin and Rhaenyra would have married. If Rhaenyra had chosen him, a match with the future Lord of Harrenhal would not be a problem.

The only Green I like is Aemond and we all joke that Daemon is his daddy since they're so alike except Aemond is less experienced. Daemon had more stable children than Viserys. Love the story of Alyssa Targaryen taking Viserys and Daemon on joy rides on Meleys. Cool mom. There's a line in White Men Can't Jump (1992) that perfectly applies to Daemon's character and to Westeros. "You either smoke or you get smoked." That's how a lot of these Houses lives by. You can't really be weak. Even though it sucks to do bad things, it's a must to survive in their ruthless world. Houses act like the mafia.
