I used to scrapbook in my teens. My 8 year old daughter is very crafty and likes to do paper crafts and little scrapbooks. We started watching your channel and now we want to make junk journals together. We went to a thrift store yesterday where all books are free and got some gems. The best find was a 1920’s pocket journal with prices for goods at the time and population of cities at the time. The thing is falling apart, but so many beautiful little pages in it. Only $2! My daughter was excited finding that. Thank you for all your tutorials and inspiration!

Those flat tweezers are the absolute BEST things for turning the paper ruffles down when you are sewing strips of them. I have a set of the tweezers from a stamp collecting hobby in the 70's.

lol, Pam is like that one cool teacher you get in High school, she is just so good at what she does, no pressure, no strict rules to follow, just have fun, use what ya got and be creative, she will always be my favorite junk journal teacher, and when she comments on her hot flashes and menopause I really do laugh out loud and say I hear ya sister! I'm only 44 but am in full blown menopause with hot flashes, and sleepless night, I wish more women would acknowledge the hell of menopause instead of acting as though it is something to not speak about, Pam you might be hot flashing but to me, your the coolest!!

I enjoyed this video very much. I’m fairly new to this whole journaling/ crafting thing and I’ve been slowly watching all your videos and I am so overwhelmed (in a good way), but when it comes time for me to actually create something, I get crafters block. Is like I get intimidated because I have so much material to work with and I don’t know where to start. I recently went thru all my bins with old things and memories and my local goodwill and I found some gems-A book from the early 40s, with pages that have changed into a vintage color, a book about real illustrated letters to the presidents from the 1960s and a hard cover time life encyclopedia on gardening from the late 60s….and let me tell you that those pages have turned into such a nice brownish color. It looks old( smells old too lol) and I just love it but I think I lack creativity. I can look, copy and recreate but I can’t come up with ideas on my own and I really want to be original. Anyway I blabbed too much lol….I love your channel and TFS all your wonderful and beautiful creations.

I have rediscovered my Cricut Maker. I haven’t used it in such a long time and normally only use it fir vinyl or heat transfers vinyl for tee shirts. However, I have discovered so many things I can cut that takes so much less time because a can cut multiple items at once. This is one of the things I can cut out. I can thank you for all the great ideas and now can I can craft so much faster and get so much more done in less time. Thank you for making me get my Cricut out again and having fun with it.

Love having a play date with you! And... lucky you not having to memorize Hiawatha in 6th grade!!!! I sympathize with your hot flashes. I can’t empathize as I had 14 pregnancies, 9 live births. So all that machinery had dried up by the time I was 42. So I just phased into crone to hagnag minus the dozen cats. Just started hoarding twine/stamps/paper/junque. It’s my mud puddle to play in so I don’t have to share with dainty people. Do luv your moon phase card. Looks very ‘60’s gypsy boho hippy R us

I learned a few trick to lessen and stop those flashes from a friend. As soon as on starts drink a glass of cool water. It really works. Avoid stress (with crafts ) squat down to pick something up off the floor. If u bend over, all the blood rushes to ur face and can trigger one. Use a sturdy chair for balance if u need to. Hope this helps u! :)
