GOT HEADSHAKE GOT DEATH WOBBLE 1994 -2002 dodge ram problem solved

Here's what I did to solve my death wobble issue tires were new I replaced the track bar, and added a steering arm stabilizer and a rough country dual steering stabilizer. Any questions feel free to ask i do my best to get back to everyone!

Thank you so much for the upload! I have a serious death wobble in my GMC. I jacked it up and the passenger side Tire wobbles from left to right so I know those tie rods are bad. And then upon inspection I discovered that my sway bar linkage/bushings are actually broken! So thank you so much for the upload and the information.

I needed that I appreciate you & I have a question I have a98 1500 on 35s as well and I just took some atx series 35 off and the adapters were like an eighth of an inch of being hub centric they are 5 lugs and slight offset of original rim lug pattern going to the aftermarket wich I may put back on problem is finding the right place I've ordered and returned 3 sets already 😂😂any suggestions

Sometimes the internet can be your worst enemy when ordering custom specific parts 🙄 only place I have ordered online from is 4wheelparts I'd strongly suggest looking for a local shop that can see exactly what your wanting and be able to communicate that to a distributor and get exactly what your looking for

I highly recommend swapping to T style steering. I have a 97 ram 2500. I have the steering brace and it solved the play in the column, but not the wandering or constant reoccurrence of death wobble. 2nd gen 3500 use same knuckles but have T style steering so all parts (tie rods and drag link) bolt up without modification and are thicker than the lesser tonnage trucks. Y style steering eats through tie rods. It feels odd to drive my truck with my knee after years of wearing out my shoulders trying to stay between the lines. I'm beyond pleased with how it turned out. Whole swap was less than $250 from local parts stores vs the ridiculously expensive synergy kit or their competitors. That is one clean truck. I gotta say. It's been an ongoing restoration just to keep the rust from eating it out from under me.

I've been looking into it my death wobble came back but my tires are shot I'm going to replace them first before I decide to switch

@@minxracing5817 I just went through the same ordeal. My new tires will be here Friday. Last year I replaced every piece of the y steering, ball joints, wheel bearings, the whole nine. Two sets of tie rods later I tore the whole thing off and started fresh with T steering. I haven't had it aligned yet and it still drives a thousand times better. The roads I drive are no help either. Best of luck!

I think before long I'm going to go with the T style steering too, but for the time being with all the projects I've got, I'll keep it how it is. Mine is stock right now height wise besides a 2" leveling kit. I replaced the entire front end 2 years ago and haven't had to do much since, I'm in Indiana and our roads are terrible too.

Does that truck have a factory tie-rod? I have a skyjacker dual steering stabilizer kit and want to install it but don't know if it'll work with the factory tie-rod that has the eyelet for the stabilizer.

It has stock tie rod and ends and stock track bar I believe the pitman arm drop is the only piece needed don't quote me on that

The pitman arm drop is required for a lift I do believe, but that makes me feel alot better about the kit I ordered! Thank you! 😊

I have a 1994 dodge ram 1500 2 door and when I go about 40 it shakes violently and have to slow down to thirty five with a lil shake

Yup you definitely have some worn out front end parts check your track bar first then your tierod ends
