This mech came out swinging with some absurd missile & ballistic quirks that made it so lethal in MechWarrior Online, but since the nerfs is it still good?

Not OP right now... Just OK. Before nerfs did 1.7k damage in one game and did multiple with 1k+. Now, not even close.

I bought mine very late, post nerf, its still a lot of fun to play, rose quickly to a personal favourite. It plays well, has fun load-outs, what's not to love? I mainly run it with 3x lb2 and 4x srm2, I have a Shadow Hawk 2k for MRM, but i really enjoyed the one time I tried it. I jsut adore the early game harassement/snipping of the lb2s and then moving in to go full dakka and use my insane rate of fire to get some kills.

maybe in the hands of a skilled player this was op, for those not so good it wasnt. if you dont have one you dont need one and might as well buy a 2k, you can almost make this exact build except for the magic weight and slots that adds up to 1 jump jet and 1/2 a ton of ammo that wont fit cause it wont take light ferro

Okay I play scattershot just a few things:) It's far too much ammo. it's better to compromise with less JJ/ammo to get XL engine with interior heat sinks and become a hunter. Velocity skills are far too important to miss. You have so much ammo you could move your ammo skills into velocity, which is obviously wasteful.

The Scattershot was OP- but is now over nerfed- it needed more incremental nerfing instead of a hammer. It spreads damage and just does not have the damage output/DPS some other mediums have with tighter damage. It is also very fragile. I love hunting players in the Scattershot- they can't kill you and are an easy kill. The only real advantage it has is high mounts of a shadow Hawk for pop tarting- but then it spreads the fire while other mediums can do MRM poptart without spreading as much. There is just not a build I can do in this that I cannot do better in another mech. A good player can cherry pick games and show a few good games, but overall its a bad mech that does not do what it was created to do (high DPS but spread damage). This build works better on a Wolverine.

its a free to play game and people who pay should get a bonus its that way for every ftp game. pgi's money grab isnt as bad as world of games or racing sims

Midgame commentary highlights: Marcus after diving into 8 assaults with an Arctic Wolf "Hey Assaults, can I borrow some armor? I promise I won't give it back..." Moments later Warboss chimes in "Don't let them murder me!... I said "DON'T" let them murder me! heh heh..." Phil with the pro-streamer tip "Fight back! Don't let them bully you."

I hadn't realized someone had asked about this Mech in chat when I dropped the request for a Shadowhawk. I wish folks could see the chat after you put 87 MRM's into a Teammate's back in the third match of this video. Was a lot of good ribbing. Only the Finest displays of Blue on Blue fire on NGNGtv!

FYI: using lbxAC 10 and 5 srm4’s. The scattershot negative quirks don’t affect that combo as badly. Unfortunately you still can’t go toe to toe with a whole lot, it is delicate.
