I installed this on my K-2000 very easily about a year ago now. The greater functionality inspired me to max out the whole thing, latest os, and also installed a SC Card to SCSI drive too. It have been great. Also i have to say the New Blue screens are sooooo much better. a little pricey but they are brilliant eyesight savers.

Great, I should install that to my K2000! I replaced the LCD screen on my K2000.

I actually posted the procedure on an online forum. Any T6963 based 240x64 LCD display would work as a replacement part, but most tricky & hard part is desoldering the ribbon cable from the old K2000 display board. I didn’t do a good job on that; if I put a light pressure on the newly installed screen, it would go blank, because I damaged the ribbon cable a bit, the connection is a bit loose.

Hi Rob, I try to install Gotek Floppy drive on my K2000 (i received it yesterday) but unfortunatly the K2000 seems don't recognize the gotek. I have tested different JUMP situation and all the time that the same answer from the K2000. I think maybe the reason depends on the OS version of the K2000, mine is 3.18. Please do you know if that's could be the reason and what is your OS version of the K2000. Other information when i press the 2 buttons of the gotek and switch on the K2000 the gotek display F01 (that the version of the Gotek i think). Think's for your help Regards Mike

Yeah I'm at OS ver. 3.54J. It is possible that you need to upgrade. Just in case, let me ask if you by chance got the Gotek with the 2 digit display? The one with the 3 digit display is the one that works. And that is S0 & M0 for me.

My K2000 OS is a Calvin one, not a Janis. I saw different upgrade with the Gotek but no information about the K2000 OS, i think it will be interesting to know the # OS who supporte the Gotek before changing mine. Please have you the same message when you press the 2 buttons of the Gotek (without usb thumb) and switch on the k2000?

Yes, mine is F01 as well.

HI Rob, sorry for asking you new questions. 1) When i push the 2 gotek buttons in fact i have U01 then 126 then F01. 2) i try to discuss with the reseller about possible problem about the gotek, he told me if i have installed a driver ??? do we need to install a driver on the usb thumb??? it's not very clear for me ths answer. thank's regards

No, there's no driver for the K2000. Just software. The included drivers are for using the Gotek on a computer. I get the same U01 then 126 then F01 When i push the 2 gotek buttons so, you're OK there.
