Myne also mentioned in the novel that she can spread information that would imply the important role the nobility plays, since most of the lower city doesn't know anything about the nobles except that they can kill them if they wanted to, unlike the commoners outside the city who experience firsthand the harvests that are thanks to the priests' mana. 10:59 They cut a lot, but the hygiene levels were very low and Myne started cleaning everything at a rapid speed, even forcing the neighbors to wash their hands, but they didn't take it seriously and kicked her out for "getting in the way", as the neighbors were busy helping, their husbands cooked for them to eat after such tiring work. What? No. Just a totally normal blue robed priest. I mean, the Head Priest did tell Myne that only true nobles who have graduated from the Academy are permitted to use magic, and Sylvester clearly used a spell with a wand. But, like Myne, just keep thinking he's totally normal and doing a great job in blending in. Nobody with a deeper meaning to the story at all. He's just a regular priest.

Even in my grandmother´s time the children weren´t recorded in the civil registry until they were 7 months or so because it was a high number of baby´s deaths. I´m talking about Spain´s 30th and 40th decades of last century.

Not to forget their naming ceremony. They bring the newborn out to the excrement covered street to present it to all their neighbors... What can go wrong if you present this vulnerable life to a bunch of dangerous bacteria? The equipment used for helping the mother giving birth was also stained in dirt and old blood, when Myne saw that in the LN she panicked knowing modern biology. Then the midwifes came in and got to work their hands still dirty from what ever they were doing before. Myne got angry and told them to wash their hands, but they just did it quick and without soap, so it didn't help much. They even murmured what a clean freak Myne is and how many babies they delivered without all this "nonsense".

@@ryuzakidestiny Aye people forget just how tough it was to have kids back then, if you have Grandparents who were alive in the 1920-30s it isn't strange to hear from them that they lost 1-2 of them at least. And that was a big improvement from their parents generation, It wasn't until the late 1800s that the death rate started to drop off it was like 35-40% of kids wouldn't make it past the age of 5. Today its more like 0.1% of kids don't make it to the same age, its actually insane to look at the figures just from the last 200 years.

This episode does not show well Benno's reaction. They tried to do a "show, don't tell", but they screwed it. Without spoiling anything, I'll just explain what everyone were expected to see in this scene, as intended by the author/animators: 1. Benno recognized Sylvester for some reason (probably his family is one of his noble clients, or he is a noble policemen, who knows at this point). 2. Benno basically got scared from Sylvester's unexpected presence in the meeting, like really really scared. Why? No idea. It isn't explained. 3. Sylvester realized Benno knew him, so he immediately jumped towards Benno, and started to look at him, sorta like saying "Ohoho, so you know me? Who are you?", and then Sylvester kinda figured out who Benno was. 4. Sylvester called Benno outside to "have a conversation with him", we can all assume that probably "be quiet or you're dead" was the main topic of such conversation, but who knows, right?

concerning the relationship between Sylvester and Ferdinand, you should rethink about all teh breadcrumbs that have been seeded so far. Ferdinand is more then a middle noble as the trombe incident showed. So he is at least a high noble. him and Sylvester talk very casually to each other so they are both high nobles BUT there is a certain deference in how Ferdinand speaks to him which hints as him being even higher as Ferdinand acts the same way with the fat douchbag priest in white that is his supperior in the church hirarchy but Ferdinand is the N°2 in the church so Sylvesters rank is higher outside the church since he is like a lazy bum talking casually at every corner. with those two facts and a bit of brain power you should have a hint of the truth. honestly, despite me rewatching the anime in full multiple times, i just saw it thanks to you stopping often to share your thought all the time
