Yeah, the thing with the ecchi parts in this show is that you can't appreciate unless you've seen enough ecchi anime. *They are literally meta jokes. They are making fun of the most common ecchi tropes.* For example, what Sora was talking about fondling being rated R but Shiro pushing him so that the safe version can happen: it's making fun of the fact that FOR SOME REASON, fondling them by itself is not ok in mild ecchi anime, but tripping and falling leading to fondling is absolutely fine because it's a comedic gag. *And there are many other examples:* - Falling leading to seeing underwear (what they called a "panty shot") - Mistakenly entering the wrong gender bath and seeing someone in there - Walking into someone changing clothes - Getting soaked in water (either by falling in a body of water or getting splashed with some) resulting in semi-transparent clothes revealing underwear - Getting cramped together in a small space leading to embarrassing positions - Strong wind blowing skirt up is considered a classic - And the list goes on. *You don't even need to watch a lot of ecchi to know most of these.* You just gotta watch 1 big one, like Love Hina or To Love RU (NOT To Love Ru Darkness! That one is a whole other chimera kk). At some point, every long running ecchi anime/manga will have done pretty much every trope in the book. *And No Game No Life makes meta commentary on a bunch of them kk* 😅

THANK YOU finally someone who gets it and is starting to understand that it isn't always about the "PLOT" but is in fact about the plot sure some anime are just "PLOT" but a lot aren't and get passed over because of that. and that's sad. Don't get me wrong I don't want any of that removed or censored as that can make it seam worse than it is. for those who don't know another youtuber Chefpk watched the entirety of Food Wars and yes was weirded out the first few episodes but i think half way through S01 or beginning of S02 that was just an after thought and was just invested in the story it was good to watch

It's kind of weird how anime is scared to do fanservice nowadays, when it was a proeminent aspect of it beforehand. I'm pretty sure last season (Spring) straight-up had zero ecchi anime, besides 'The Legendary Hero is Dead!' which was a trainwreck

Some anime series are cheeky and are purely in it for the "plot", but some anime series put them in while having actual story. It just takes the courage to get through them without being weirded out or cringe lol. A LOT of hxrny series will explicitly use the Ecchi tag and those are usually the hxrny ones. Although some super ecchi series are just purely for laughs, just like this series. The issue is sifting through everything to find a good balanced series like this one. He do be right though. Sometimes I just want a hxrny ass anime like High School DxD lmao

I take offense to that kkkk 😅 Genuinely, I've been watching anime all my life, and the amount of ecchi I had to brave through and ignore to enjoy shows is off the charts, *because I ACTUALLY DON'T like gratuitous sexual stuff in any media (for example, it was kinda hard for me to watch the start of Game of Thrones)* , hence why there are 3 anime in total in these almost 30 years I stopped watching because they had too much of it to the point it was unbearable, and others I didn't even try like Highschool DxD kkkk 😆

A lot of anime use fanservice. Better get used to it lol I like NGNL even if it has a lot of mostly unnecessary fanservice cause it doesn't really ruin the flow of the story. Even in those moments, most of the time the characters are doing or talking about something plot important. I've seen other anime that has a fanservice scene that's just that and feels like it wasted important time that could've been used for the storytelling. It probably doesn't matter much for anime which has a ton of episodes cause they could afford to waste those time but there are short series that does this and I always end up wishing they focused a bit more on the story. Edit: Have you seen the ED video? The one you shouldn't skip would make more impact if you've seen the ED in it's regular form. Or don't skip it at all lol

theres a few anime like that, that have a fair share of cheekyness but if it was taken out the story is still there and really good, hell the same even exists with manga, tho the plot is also a good part of it, because horny is always superb, (grabs anti bonk hat)
