They've performed some of these songs for over 10yrs, and they win new fans each and every time. No they never get old, because they put maximum effort in each and every one of their performances for their fans. Yeah, this is one of the better compilation vids... Some fans don't like reactors reacting to compilation vids because some poorly made ones are so out of synch that people think Babymetal and the band either lipsynch or are backtracked.... But this one is well done, it even showcases the different vocals of Su from her different ages.... I personally like compilation vids, because it gives people a taste of how bonkers a Babymetal concert is, from the crowd participation, the set designs and the craziness that goes on. Yeah, going to a Babymetal concert is a bucketlist thing for a lot of people. 🤘🦊🤘

I think for me, as a music teacher especially, seeing three young women so talented and so dedicated to their craft absolutely crushing their performances with such charisma and energy inspires such pride in me. And while they might have initially gotten big in the west because of their novelty, they have held up their own as some of the best performers around in a genre dominated by men. They command the stage, take their craft seriously, and know what the hell they’re doing. I frequently get emotional watching their live videos. They’re inspiring. Side note, in my professional opinion, Su is one of the most consistent and healthy sounding vocalists I’ve heard in the metal/ rock genres. She has incredible technique, sings in an appropriate range at an appropriate volume, and can do all of this whilst dancing and emoting so beautifully. My recommendation is The live version of Brand New Day. It’s a song off of their latest album Metal Galaxy, and it always gets me in my feels. Su has an INCREDIBLE vocal in it, and the instrumentation is just glorious. Definitely less heavy, but great use of synth with some beautiful lyrics.

Personally along WITH Su's singing its her crowd control. Never seen anything like it. Watch the Download Performance 2016 to see a Japanese band during the day have a massive crowd(THAT usually isn't that big until the BIG HEADLINE BANDS ARE ON) and are all so invested and in the palm of Su's hand. Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is a compilation from shows in 2013 through 2020. Year they are all in Japan, but the crowd's mass headbanging occurs wherever BM goes on this planet and whenever Su-Metal wants people to do so with her death stare 😄. Of course it did as early as in 2014 O2 Brixton. Recently, it likewise did in 2019 US tour (20 gigs in 18 states) and 2020 European tour (17 gigs in 11 countries). You also heard the crows shout in Japanese at 06:07 in your video. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!" (addressed to crybabies in the metal concert). The shout in Japanese occurrrs whenever Su-Metal turns her mic towards audiences in any country. Last year 2021, BM played this song in all of 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN Concerts with Su's matured voice and Moa's more agitating moves. I witnessed it 9 times at the venue and was enchanted to headbang 9 times ヽ(^o^)丿

I was thrilled when they brought it back for the 2019 tour, and I finally got to hear it live at the LA Forum. One day I remember that one day a reactor thanked us for seeing a song with him that we have surely seen many times and wondered what motivated us... I replied (and I still feel it) that when I see your face, the emotion, we remember what we felt the first time we saw it. In a way to relive the emotion of finding something that marked us.

I'm 54 from London and got into Babymetal about 3 years ago. I can't really describe it any better than how you did - they truly are unique. I was lucky to see them at Brixton Academy and then at Hammersmith in February 2020 just before the Pandemic. As you are aware, these venues can't compete with The Tokyo Dome and the Budokan but the atmosphere was electric - I have never been so mesmerised by a band in my entire life and that includes as someone who attended Queen live at Wembley Stadium in 1986! They made a DVD filmed at Wembley (which I bought on KZbin) you might want to look at that. I would suggest something like the video to 'Karate' maybe, or 'Papaya' live - tales of the destinies will leave you asking quite a few questions. Take good care of yourself 😃

There may have been a day or two here and there where I didn't but I can't remember them. They STILL make me smile every time. Every. Single. Time. I never thought a band could do that to me anymore. I'm happy to be proven wrong. There are many many fans that have been around much longer than I have and they are still as excited. You'll see them in every Babymetal comment section. I keep wondering where I should rate Babymetal in my own personal favorite list. I keep thinking they should be top five and then I think about my top five and I think there is NO WAY they deserve to be there. I was lucky to see them live in Chicago pre-pandemic when their Metal Galaxy album had just come out. They are just as incredible live as you see in the video. We had a much much smaller crowd in the Aragon but they gave 100% the same energy. When you're at one of their concerts, you just lose it--that energy is infectious. Most of their official live videos are pro-shot, so you'll get these cuts and edits of different concerts, but the audio seems to be from one particular performance. But you made a great point that regardless of where they play, it's always the best performance. I suggest anything from their first album, but give Metal Galaxy a try; they take influence from music all around the world and give their own unique metal a different flavor. Try Shanti Shanti Shanti or Starlight for a different kind of Babymetal. Great video, keep it up!

Every time I hear a new song I'm mind blown. Never fails. I will say with songs like Headbanger (which is one of my favorites) I am no longer 'mind blown' but that's only because that 'mind blown'-ness has just changed to giddy excitement. Literally I hear the start of a song I love by them which is 99% of them and I start squealing like a fangirl, which I am. 😂 I'm sure someone has already requested this, and I'm not really requesting, but I'm excited that one day you might react to 'Catch Me If You Can' it's another of my favorites by them... I don't know who I'm trying to kid, almost all of their songs are my favorite, but it's one that I will listen to purposely more than others. 😂😂😂 Seriously though, I only got into these girls two or three years ago and I've yet to hear a song that I am not absolutely thrilled by. Oh!!!! And Megitsune!!! It's such a good song!!! Also, this one is kinda special to me because it's a song about a young girl going to her first metal show, and how it's a moment she'll never forget, I'm paraphrasing from a translation because well, I know no Japanese at all, and I don't wanna tell you things wrong, like the details, but that's always stuck with me, even as a super fun sounding song because I was once a young girl going to her first metal show. Obviously I'm sure men can relate too, as going to a metal show is a very freeing feeling. Just a suggestion, but if you're curious there's a man on youtube called Andrew Hartley, that's also his channel name, who did some very well thought out explanation videos for babymetal songs, not to react to, as those would be very long, but as a follow up if you want to know more about some of the songs you've heard, he hasn't done all of their songs of course, as that would be an insane amount of work, but he explains it very well as I believe he speaks Japanese and lived in Japan for a while, so he knows about their culture and things like that. Again, it's just a suggestion, but I know for me it helped me understand the band and the girls as a whole a lot better. Especially his explanations for Headbanger and Megitsune. Well... Sorry for the essay 😅... I only meant to write the first two sentences but I got excited, thank you for the reaction! Love seeing people find songs and bands that I love. ^^

What a great reaction. I can assure you, you are not alone, Babymetal manages to hit your feelings with every song (ok maybe not every, but every second for sure). I don’t really know how to describe it but I personally feel proud having seen them growing up and performing on so many different places in front of so many different crowds and manages to amaze them (and me) every single time. The amount of dedication, professionalism, sweat and effort they put into their shows is second to none. I personally don’t like compilation videos, but this was one of the better ones. You still should watch the Legend 1997 performance of that song that recorded a day after Su’s 16th birthday. On another note, yes, the Japanase crowds are on a completely different level but that doesn’t take anything away from any other crowd Babymetal is playing for. Also, the stages for their special shows are always insane well thought out (and expensive lol) and that does apply not only to the ones for their Japanese shows. It is incredibly expensive to take the full BM show on the road. You might enjoy seeing the Wembly Arena show. There is a blu-ray. I feel awe, excitement, joy, love, and pride every time I watch them perform. The band is phenomenal and the girls are so special. I can't wait for you to react to the BABYMETAL guide. It will really deepen your understanding and love for them. 🤘🦊🤘

I would probably go to Road of Resistance as the next one, it stays along the same sound as what you've already heard, But if you want to stray into their more experimental stuff then BxMxC or Papaya would be good choices. Not only are they unique but also diverse in their sounds. They truly do create an unexplainable feeling when watching them live. Watching An Unhelpful Guide to Babymetal gives you even a greater appreciation for how this group came to be and compounds the feeling of enjoyment you get from watching them preform.

Adorable Badasses. Also, I'm pretty sure they get their stamina, stage presence, and amazing venue things from their Jpop/Idol side. Bouncing around like that is par for the course in bubbly pop music, as is getting the crowd to scream along -- and they blended that into their metal.

Indeed, it's crazy how the crowd participates ! I have seen Babymetal in Belgium, February 2020, just before the pandemic. I knew the songs quite well because I was very into it at this time. It was probably one of the best concert I have ever been and I have been to metal concerts and festival for over 20 years. But I think if you go to a Babymetal concert, it's better to know the songs and when to participate because it adds so much fun to it ! ;-)

If you want a Japanese band with crazy presentation then check out La Ciel by Malice Mizer when Gackt was the lead singer. The band did disband back near 2007 so it is an older band, their music is classed as baroque metal meets symphonic metal with the classic older Visual Kei style of live shows. So I'd recommend the live version. Also most Japanese concerts have a very interactive crowd, it's a Japanese thing to have every concert who's audience play along with the band.

As for Headbanger you should also check MoaMetal version (one of the dancers). The gig was on her 20th birthday and she was a lead singer for that one. It shows that all of them are super talented and gives another reason to be amazed by that band.

I love babymetal, I'm completely crazy about them, and i'm starting to love your channel too! hugs from Brazil.

I am a 48 year old man and I have the same emotional reaction. They are just so overwhelming. Between the face melting metal, the beautiful singing, the costumes, the dancing and the crowd participation, one just cannot help but to be incredibly happy while watching their performance. Like you, I watch with a smile, or a gaping mouth, goosebumps and a tear in my eye. Love me some Babymetal and I pray they start touring again and come to my state. Great reaction video! Good on ya, mate!

Came for KDA and ended up watching Babymetal as well. My daughters first concert was Babymetal when she was 6! We’ve seen them once more just before COVID. The audience participation is amazing, especially at one particular moment in headbanger. I’m hoping to take her to Japan to see them at some point. The road-trip my daughter and I went on to see Babymetal in 2019 was one of the best experiences of my life. I don’t remember much of the first concert as I sacrficed my back and shoulders so she could sit on my shoulders to get a better view. Spectacular band, spectacular memories, your reactions aren’t bad too :)

Had they relied exclusively on the, albeit genius, concept of young cute girls rock out to heavy metal, it would've gotten old in a hot New York minute. But the songs are so good, the girls have such amazing voices and are such amazing performers, and the band is absolute bonkers level good, that no, it doesn't get old. Next I'd suggest reacting to Megitsune, definitely a live version

Has anyone checked out the lyrics? They're innocent and fun, with some uplifting, encouraging words thrown in. My wife is the only one in our house that doesn't get it...lol. Yeah, I've seen this many times, but I was tearing up, too! Only the live stuff does that to me, though. I rock out to the studio tracks, but I think all of that joy that is recirculating from the band to the crowd in a loop is so strong that we feel it, too.

You are absolutely not alone in your seemingly indescript, overwhelming reactions to BabyMetal. It seems we have been sheltered under the same set of stones, and coincidentally decided to join the rest of the planet on this amazing journey at the same time. Your first reaction to Gimme Chocolate felt as if I were looking into a portal at myself after seeing their first performance! (Or at least how I presume I must have looked/acted). I immediately subscribed, and havent watched another one of their videos until you react to them because I can't find the exact words either, but I assure you, we are thinking exactly the same thing!!! As you have said many times, their style is one of a kind, and shouldn't even work! I haven't even looked up translations for the lyrics because to be honest, it doesn't even matter what they are saying! It penetrates all the way to my soul merely from the presentation. There has NEVER been an act presented on any stage that is as captivating as theirs. It's like every single song has a climax and ends as if it were a strategically planned encore!!! BTW, this is the first time I've ever commented on someone's material, but I felt obligated to let you know that it's ok to feel like you do about BabyMetal, and more importantly, to thank you for showing me the same sentiment!! I'll be waiting patiently and looking forward to the next one!! Until then, my firend.....

as much fun as those enormous arena shows look, i am glad i'll be seeing them in a 6K seat theater (the youtube theater appropriately enough) in october. i wont get the elaborate stage set up,but i'm sure the crowd will be wild. i'm a little too old to be on the floor with all the mosh pit craziness, but my seat is on the rail above it. probably about 100 feet from the stage at eye level. this could turn out to be the best concert i've ever seen, and i've seen plenty over the last 45 years.

I only discovered Babymetal about two weeks ago, and my response is exactly like yours! I'm a grown man who grew up listening to metal, and here this group brings tears to my eyes almost every time I watch them. You are not alone in the feeling. BABYMETAL is a happy place for me, I generally just go to listen to one song and end up two hours later wondering what happened. I commend you for your willpower and not going down the foxhole and listening to everything they've done almost immediately (that's what I did). Also they did do a show in Wembley a few years back just an fyi, you may run into some videos from that. As for the next song you should react to it doesn't matter too much, they're all pretty awesome and they have a tremendous musical range inside metal. What you NEED to listen to is one of their songs with a Kami Band intro, just search "Kami Band Intro" and pick your poison. Just that search pops up Rondo of Nightmare (still my #1 pick to melt your mind), YAVA! (tied for my favorite song), Awadama Fever (BM trolling their critics), and Catch Me if You Can (favorite choreography). Just don't do the Kagerou video because it features the Western Kami's, and you need to see the original Kami's first (now known as the Eastern Kami's).

Yep dude. As a 54 Brit I can confirm they do cause this feeling (yep tears rolling down my cheeks as I type this). They have the best live experience ever (seen 3 times in UK - once in Manchester and London twice). Most of those are Japan (Budokan the round stage and various other circa 20K venues around Japan). Their arena staging is out of ths world. They are an experience. Closest I came to for the audience experience is the early live days of Rock Horror Picture Show. BM is very much an interactive experience with every song having its own audience reaction parts. As a side note fans NEVER EVER sing along with Su. We always sing the MOAMETAL parts.
