Konosuba is actually a super light-hearted and hilarious comedy, it makes fun of a lot of tropes from isekai (transported/reincarnated in a different world) and fantasy series and it has tons of running gags that make it super entertaining to watch as well as the fun characters. 100% recommended, it's just two seasons of 10 episodes each, and a movie

@@MRST0R Plenty of the humor is universal, and Slime gives you a good enough baseline to get the rest from context. Or at least the gist. The isekai jokes can be funny, but it's not THE thing that makes the show funny or good. It's not even near the top of the list. Imo it's a waste of time to sit through a bunch of other mediocre isekai anime just to get every reference in Konosuba. Especially for a reaction channel that will take months to get through just one. Konosuba is on my list of must watch anime. Most other isekai are not.

KonoSuba is a comedy anime. Just like Reincarnated as a Slime, KonoSuba is an isekai in that someone is transported into another world. It's definitely one of my favourite comedies. Someone might explain more about the characters or premise, but I find it fun to just get to know them yourself. The character comedy of the show is strong. The show is mostly SFW, but the MC does some questionably not SFW things (in a comedic way of course). Also, the second ending is sung by part of the cast.

A good way to describe it while give a very basic idea of the character and without spoilers would be : "Imagine a normal guy thrown into a fantasy world with monsters and magic forming an adventuring group with 3 of the most disfonctional people you'll find in anime have incredibly funny adventures." There is not one lie in all of this and it say almost nothing of the anime, but I'll bet a lot of people will want to see it just to have an idea of what it means.

He and Kazuma (the mc) traded parties, and after only a day of adventuring with Kazuma’s party, he came back begging to cancel the trade and for both of them to return to their original party.

Konosuba is primarily a comedy series; there is some action in it, but for the most part it's used as part of a joke or punchline. I've seen it compared to a sitcom set in a fantasy world, which honestly isn't that bad of comparison. Ultimately, it's a story about the characters, and the various messed-up situations their quirks and flaws get them into. And for the most part? It works really well- you can tell the VAs were having a ton of fun with it.

The 2nd konosuba op is just a perfect representation of the show. Another op whose full version i have listened to countless times. The eds are sung by the three VAs for the 3 female MCs in character and yes, they are all great singers. Konosuba is a series that became as good as it did thanks to the director, Takaomi Kanasaki. The studio itself, Studio Deen, do not have good track record with well produced shows but Konosuba is a big exception. The director also did the Kokoro connect anime which has a similar level of visual similarity and quality to it. We are finally getting more of the series with a spinoff and a season 3 in the future too. It is not the same director but hopefully, both of them turn out well.

The storyline, which takes a backhanded approach to the otherworldly reincarnation anime that abounds in the world, is a sight to behold, and each character is full of charm. I'm just popping in again to mention Golden Kamuy! once again, just mentioning it to keep it relevant, not trying to pressure or cause any stress. my friends and I actually watched several episodes together yesterday (I've been newly getting them into it) and I actually lost my voice by this morning, because of how much we were talking, laughing, and yelling at the TV due to cool plot twists. it's actually a weirdly good feeling... I love my friends, and I love this show for giving me such a good experience with them. I just hope some of these good vibes can be passed along somehow... I hope you're having a really good day too. Konosuba is a good vibes show as well... though I think it's more fun for people who know the isekai genre well, because the comedy often relies on being a parody of that genre. it still has plenty of independently funny moments, but if you've seen a lot of isekai, or if you know how they typically go, then a lot of the goofy subversions of the usual formula will be extra entertaining.

This anime is one of the funniest anime of all time and has an extremely enjoyable main cast, considering they're all weird aholes. The side characters are also pretty great, and there's hardly a dull moment with it all. It's one of the animes that are fantastic and hilarious in both sub or dub so you can watch it how you like. It only has 2 seasons with 20 episodes and a movie so far, but a 3rd season and a spin off series has already been announced. It's personally my 2nd favorite anime series of all time and I can not suggest it enough

Non-spoiler, positive mood reply with some answered questions: Konosuba is slapstick comedy satire of the "Isekai" genre. You've dipped your toe into Isekai with Slime, the idea of being reincarnated in a new world, and this is having one GIANT laugh at that. You're right about lighthearted, it's a good time from start to finish, and you'd LOVE it. That being said, SO much censored boobs and perversion that for your OWN mental health i'd consider making it a Patreon only show JUST so you don't feel the need to pause and say "CHAT, CHEEKY, I CANT HAVE THIS ON SCREEN" every ten seconds. The show is self-censoring enough that people post reactions on youtube without getting taken down, but it's lewd and pervy AT LEAST once an episode. There's 2 seasons and a movie that I gotta say, the movie was the funniest thing i've seen in a theater in years! Season 3 expected to drop just about any time now.

Hmmm...I don't remember the entire series being that bad, in terms of "perversion" and nudity. Weren't there just a few episodes like that? To be honest, it's been a while, and I can only remember two, the one where Kazuma "hires 'someone' to provide a certain service", and naughty chaos ensues, and the other when Darkness goes back home. Is there more than that, apart from the "normal stuff" that happens, like when Darkness is "enjoying herself," or Kazuma is using his "steal powers"?

Konosuba is a send-up of all the overly-serious adventure and 'other world' (isekai) anime, an absolute masterpiece of an anime, and I will gladly fight anyone who says it isn't the funniest anime of all time. It's the first anime I've ever watched 3 times through without giving up part way through. The jokes hit perfectly every time, the characters are wonderfully broken in every way and I can't recommend it enough.

No 🤣🤣 Konosuba was not created to make fun of the Isekai genre, moreover, the author has never said anything like that in all these years, either in publications or interviews, even Japanese fans know it, since the series "has become made as a mockery" was a rumor that originated in the west by our community 😐😐😐😐 why?? If you want something like a palate cleanser when you've watched too much anime, then Konosuba is a must to watch. It's light hearted, funny, and the characters are all likeable. Each contributing to what makes this anime great. This is a top-tier anime for me. Also, watch the movie. You'll definitely love it. Cheers from the Philippines!

This is a great anime, a lot of peoples favorite comedy anime, and one I really love as well. And the cast especially is one of animes most beloved band of misfits. The konosuba girls are definitely the best worst girls of anime XD. I can definitely recommend watching it, BUT, only after watching a bunch of other stuff first, it doesn't really make sense to watch a spoof of the isekai genre, which makes fun of the tropes, if you haven't watched a lot of isekai first. It's still great even without that background, but it definitely helps to have it. And yes, the one with the blue hair is definitely well known for her...assets... the community joke theory is that she was afraid of the MC looking at her panties and therefore made them invisible, big brain.

First of I really like these videos, next are some recomendations of shows with good openings: Seraph of the End Guilty Crown Black Butler Goblin Slayer Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri Blue Exorcist Black Summoner Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest - can't say the anime is very good, but the openings are fire. Shelter AMV Lucky Star - must say it is quite different than your usual openings, but its a good one.

Btw, the voice actors for the main characters did the endings, and you can actually find versions sung by every girl. HIGHLY recommend the Darkness ver. (Darkness is the name), her voice is just angelic. The Main Character (Kazuma) + Aqua versions are really fun too, even better with subs.

Konosuba is a comedy through and through, and probably my favorite. A lot of times I might find things amusing but not necessarily laugh out loud funny, but my first watch-through of Konosuba was a blast. And fun fact since I haven't really seen anyone else commenting it yet, but both of the ending themes are actually sung by the main female leads

I'd say the style of the two endings is less 'japanese country' but more 'american country sung by japanese people'. If you're curious, the japanese equivalent of country music is called 演歌 (Enka) and it's quite different than what you hear in the Konosuba endings.
