It's pretty much impossible to guess the characters and what they do from the openings, since these openings are made to not spoil much. But I do fully recommend the show, not only because it's funny and heartwarming, but also because I think you'll enjoy the many....... favorite characters it has to offer.

For KonoBakuen, there’s a second version of the OP that adds in a few things. Also for context, KonoBakuen is the prequel to Konosuba and was written before the movie. Chronology: KonoBakuen, Konosuba, Konosuba S2, Konosuba movie, and then Konosuba S3 (currently airing.) Regarding the OPs and EDs, Machico sings all of the OPs (even for the gacha and other video games) and the VAs for Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin sing the EDs for Konosuba (Megumin and Yun Yun sing KonoBakuen’s ED.) I recommend watching KonoBakuen after S2, since it was made with foreshadowing to the movie in mind. Also, there’s 2 OVAs (listed as Episode 11 for both Seasons on Crunchyroll), which aren’t canon and should be watched after Season 2, due to spoilers.

Konosuba is a show (without giving too much spoilers) that is what we call a parody. It takes the typical adventure party and twist them in a way that makes each one unique but kinda bad. Whether it is the mage that can only cast one spell instead of having a ton of spells, the crusader tank that is only a masochists meat shield as she can't hit a thing, the priest that is self serving the the intelligence stat lower than a sack of potatoes, or the rouge like class that is a self serving perv who is trying his best only to be put down by those around him, it is clear that it is meant to be a comedy that makes you think of how in the world these guys make it day to day.
