Lust was the only one to hang out with him constantly, always by his side, up till she died. Before her death, every time we saw Gluttony, she was always beside him in every scene. We never see Gluttony alone, till after Lust dies.

id also like to point out that Lust and Gluttony are the two of the seven deadly sins that come from overindulgence in bodily pleasures so it makes sense that they'd feel a particular bond. They also appear to be the weakest 2 homunculi, which makes sense since Father didnt need to eat and had no reproductive drive

@@statboosts279 i don't know what gave you the idea that they are the weakest after pride, lust is probably the strongest and equal to Bradley and it is true in both versions (stronger that Bradley and maybe weaker than envy in 03 version)(in 03 lust died to wrath only because he had her remains and could perform alchemy) And gluteny is an abomination monster in both of them, he is a dragon like monster in 03 and in brotherhood he has a literal death ray that makes him eat anything instently with his bottomless stomach. And I just want to point out that in brotherhood after envy remembered that mustang even killed lust , he instantly got terrified and ran away as fast as he could.

@@kian-ganji I agree that Lust is really strong. She has a special weapon, while Wrath (Bradley) has vision but uses swords. I personally think that she can break his swords and after that I don't know how useful he can be with his ultimate eye alone.

First of all, they don't really have a way to hurt Pride. The kid took a solid beating the Lion chimera and he's still standing. Even IF they rip open Salim that's not his true form. His truest form is very much like his father's was, hence why he's named Pride. Secondly, the reason Gluttony called out for Lust is because she's the only one who really treated him with any sort of respect or kindness. Gluttony has the mentality of a toddler and Lust was pretty much his caretaker. In his own messed up way, Gluttony saw Lust as a mother figure. Thirdly, you think THIS is dark just wait until the Promised Day.

Ling's bodyguards are from his clan. They are a much more powerful clan, and have more resources. Mei is also a child of the emperor, she just comes from the weakest and poorest clan. As a reminder the emperor marries one woman from every clan, with all of the clans fighting eachother to become be the strongest, and gain the emperors favor. The emperors children are also competing against eachother to be the emperors favored child and potentially be named heir to the throne.

Mustang's plan is crazy, and there are many details that may go unnoticed and yet solidly explain what is to come. This is where his strategist's mind shines wonderfully. I also love Olivia's way of acting, everyone plays for the same side but they also create specific plans for their own integrity. I feel that on a strategic level both are on par, that's why even though Olivia hates Mustang, she respects him as a strategist and supports his plan.

Also considering that Roy is like 10 years younger than Olivia and is one of the few who dares to speak to her in an informal and "funny" way, it is especially annoying for her 😂. In the matter of the "promised day", he is a necessary ally.

Lust was the older sister and mother figure to Gluttony. Plus, as a sin. Gluttony is about self indulgence and pleasure. Like food, women, and personal entertainment. The difference between Gluttony and Greed is one is about emotions and pleasure. While the other is about ambition and material gain.

Just a little correction, because you seem to get something kinda wrong... Nobody really said, that they think, Bradley's dead. All they said were things like 'Fuhrer's gone missing', 'We lost connection', 'the train exploded/got attacked' and 'Bradley's not here atm'... They actually said last episode, that they didn't find his body or any parts of it, just one of his men.

I’m guessing that Heinkel was actually doing a fair amount of damage to Pride, but the animators might’ve decided against showing a child character being brutally mauled by a lion over and over. There’s nothing to suggest that Heinkel would be unable to harm Pride in these conditions, and Pride does acknowledge that he’s taking damage. I’ve always assumed that Pride not showing visible wounds in this fight was just an animation choice. And as for “keep your eyes peeled”, it just means to keep them open. Comparing opening your eyes to peeling a fruit. A bit of an odd expression to be sure.

Lust was the only one who considered him anything close to a partner. He isn't intelligent enough to be fully alone, so after she dies, he's mostly partnered with Wrath, then Pride, both just using him as a tracker more than a partner. He cries out for her, because she was the only one who ever cared. Lust and Gluttony are also the sins of the body, the carnal sins. Wrath, Pride, Envy, Sloth and Greed are more intellectual sins. In older Catholic teachings, Ed and Al could have fallen prey to the eighth deadly sin- "Sophisticated Cowardice", which is essentially lacking the courage to do the right thing, and for the right reason, despite being fully capable of doing so.

And there goes another Homunculus. It's crazy to think that the last Homunculus to properly die and not just return to father to be remade was Lust all the way back in Episode 19 and we still have 5 of the sins left waltzing around (4 if we discount Greed since he's a wild card atm). The show does a great job of not expending it's villains too early and if you pay close attention to the sins in particular, their deaths actually have great thematic connections to their characters which is something worth keeping an eye on. Overarching villains always make a show feel consistent and the way in which new villains are added always feels natural in FMAB so even when one goes down, you never feel they went shorter or longer than they should've and when they go it's satisfying and at the right time.

The Dragons Plus works by sensing the rhythms of power flowing into something like a stream of river or water. What Fu sensed the ocean of souls with the Homunculie and Hoenhiem from their Philosopher Stones. The reason for there regeneration ability is because they are using or rather burning the souls within their stone as fuel source for their bodies. It's kind of like having multiple health bars in a video game.

My favorite underappreciated detail about the discover of Madam Christmas being his foster mother is that this whole time those girls he was "flirting" with are more like sisters to him if anything, and it's just him talking to them the way they were all raised to talk, it's an act. It's quite clever in a way, and adds a new perspective to all of the flirting he seems to do throughout the show.

I also think it's fairly obviously pointing to the "bar" actually being a brothel, so I get the impression Mustang was likely the child of one of Christmas's girls who she took care of. I figure it wasn't explicit since this story is still for younger people, but brothels have historically been pretty connected to information networks due to getting rich people with their guard down... Ling has two body guards, Mei has none. The strongest clan would probably have sent an entire army to protect the heir candidate. Also also, Mustang's disguise as a womanizer worked again. His notebook is full of girls and their contacts an stuff, that is how he coded his alchemy research. And every time he was visiting the brothel of Madame Christmas, he was just going home.

It's a pasty. A puff pastry. Imagine a grilled cheese, but with baked beans in the middle and a bread cover somewhere between a McDonald's apple pie and a croissant. Great Britain is an island. It never gets too warm or too cold when you're surrounded by the sea. Salt water keeps temperature at bay quite well. They have to eat hearty, filling, warm meals that carry a large load, not just calories, but physical density. That stuff stays in your stomach for hours, provides heaps of warmth at first and sustenance afterwards.

4:40 not necessarily able to gauge per se, like it's never suggested he could look at Ed and Mustang and be like "Oh yeah Mustang is 'stronger'" BUT... Hoenheim has half of Xerxes in him (roughly... he could have 'died' a few times by now) whilst the homunculi have fractions of that granted by father... so let's say Father used "1/4th" the souls in him to make the homunculi, that's ~125k between them... (well Lust is gone and Envy is down to... idk... 1? 12? A tiny number) so even assuming equal splits that's nearly 18k per homunculus that pales in comparison to... about 540k souls in Hoenheim. Edit: We actually don't know for certain where the phrase "Keep your eyes peeled" comes from, most agree it was either sailing slang in the 1800s or has to do with London Police (at one point they were referred to as "Peelers"). Both versions became 'popular' around the same time and by 1860 it ended up in the newspaper (and so was likely a popular turn of phrase by then). It's weird how many phrases we don't know the origin of but at the same time since the tended to be spread by word of mouth maybe not that weird...

I've got a cousin who looks almost exactly like me, should it be required that I prove I'm not someone else, from video surveillance or old picture. I would ask them to grab 5 of pics of my cousin and 5 pics of me, mixed in with standard filler pics and tell em to pick 3 that match the old pic. If they can't say for sure which 3 match the original pic, if they pick 2 of me and 1 of my cousin, bam that is plausible deniability. Add that with a smear campaign against whoever brought up these "Clearly" false allegations, turn the public against them then do a civil lawsuit. If you have more power and can get some real dirt, straight up arrest em, once they are in jail everyone assumes they are guilty.

You said Pride was taking like no dmg but that's not true you can even see him scuffed up I think it was more the animations choice to not show a child all messed up. But he's been using his stone to heal himself, at some point that stone will run dry. You can think of it like number of souls minus injuries. Lost arm - 700 souls. Complete rebuild cause someone burnt you to a crisp and tore your core out -8k. So the more souls put into the stone to begin with the more "immortal" the homunculi. Father took like half of Xerxis plus whatever else he's added in the years, hoenhiem got the other half so yes hoenhiem would dwarf the others by comparison. They way I understand it it's kinda like seeing a light, from a soul. One candle burns dimly, a city burns brightly. So it's really weird to see what appears to be a condensed city standing alone inside a village. Let alone the 2 small condensed villages near it.

20:40 That's the thing, Mustang is kind of the perfect match for everyone. They don't call his alchemy "the strongest" for nothing, those explosions of his are really busted (pun intended). He has enough power, range, area of effect and speed to deal with pretty much everything, so while he does have weaknesses and a few characters have skills that could take him down, overall his ability is probably the most reliably strong in the series.

Ling gots half brother and sisters in all the clans of Xing. Since Xing is based off of ancient China it would only be the wealthy clans that could afford bodyguards. Ming the little girl despite being Lings sister she's from a poorer clan, so no bodyguards.

Day 127 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I'm finally able to comment on these as they come out again! - Chi sensing is kind of like sharks' ability to sense bursts of electricity in water. All living things give off small electrical impulses when they move, and thats what sharks use to locate things over greater distances. So they could navigate around living creatures without seeing anything. And Hoenheim is the biggest battery in the area. Only the higher up clans have trained bodyguards protecting the respective heroes to their clans. May for example is much lower in the rankings than Ling, and seemingly hasn't had any attendants herself. To the Yao clan seems to be more privileged than the Changs to some degree. - Pride is a homunculus just like the others, so yeah, him standing back up after being mauled checks out lol. Gluttony crying for Lust always hits me in the feels. His final moments and he doesn't care about seeing Father, he only misses his pseudo-sister who practically raised him. This is a good example of how parental bonds aren't always the strongest. Though neither are sibling ones since Pride cannibalized his own brother as he cried for their sister. - None of our characters actually think Bradley is dead. They're simply cautious because their attack on Bradley accidentally gave him the element of surprise. They can't prove he's dead, and therefore they're waiting for him to make a reappearance. - I love that Ed keeps the carbon automail and mimics Greed. Greed's shield is him rearranging carbon in his body to make diamond armor, and the fact Ed learned from that is so cool. More protagonists taking their former enemies wrapons please! - It's been mentioned in previous comments, but Hoenhiem is a pacifist. He doesnt fight and thus doesn't do combat well. Which is why he only tried to trap Pride with rocks in the tunnels. There's some more manga content that isn't in the anime where he is attacked on a train and also doesn't directly attack back, he only defends or captures.
