This is commonly found when listening to an emotional song of theirs or just the sheer beauty of their work. Commonly found when listening to Mary Did You Know, Hallelujah, Amazing Grace, Imagine, The Prayer and most especially Thank You. 5. The What Did I Just Hear Face. Happens when Pentatonix starts strong, or when you hear a really special note or Kevin sound. Is usually accompanied by rewinding the video or song to make sure your ears really heard what they heard. This was my introduction to PTX. My daughter’s music teacher used this video to teach about music history. She came home from school and showed it to me. Then said “they’re coming to the State Fair”. We bought tickets right on the spot. And new Pentaholics were born. 😁

Pentatonix was made to cover the Beach Boys harmonies, but they only have done one, a cover of "God Only Knows". The video is Christmas travel themed because of the song's use in the Christmas movie "Love Actually"

They are great song writers too! “Can’t Sleep Love” is another original on their first actual album. It’s awesome! ❤️ This is why they are 3-time Grammy winners. Their talent is exceptional! ❤️

I would love to see your reaction to Pop Spring 2016. It is a live concert/four song set at a musical festival in Japan. PTX performs 3 original songs that include Cracked, Can't Sleep Love, and Water. And they perform their arrangement of Evolution of Michael Jackson. It is sooo good! Runs about 15 minutes, but you could break it up by song if that is too long for you. I really think you would enjoy it. You would get a taste of their original music which is amazing and just how great they are in live performance. Love your reactions!

Pentatonix has covered two Beach Boys songs (ironically, both of the quintessential summer band tunes are on Pentatonix Christmas albums). "God Only Knows" is stunning and has a video (complete with snow and Santa), while "Little St. Nick" is audio-only. You might want to react to "God Only Knows".

Thanks so much for the reaction! The thing that gets me about the "Evolution" reactions is it's such a mash-up - BUT, it's all done in ONE TAKE. Once you watch again, you'll see there are no breaks, no camera shots...and they can do it live and still sound the same. That's a requirement for any song that they do. Wait! Wait! Pentatonix are known for their ability to seamlessly merge multiple songs into a medley or mashup. It's something Scott and Mitch started doing in high school and having Kevin and Avi (or Matt) to keep the changing rhythms solid is a huge help. Other comments recommended the other "Evolution of..." videos and you've done "Daft Punk". Another great one is the "90's Dance Medley"

There's so many songs you need to check out. Their Evolution ones, 90's dance medley, their covers, their originals. Then there's Superfruit, Mitch and Scott's own channel. They did so many songs and just them being them. The Challenges they did. So much fun watching them. Only problem is they haven't been doing their Superfruit channel for 2 to 3 yrs, so much going on in their lives now. Miss them though.

First of all, thanks for doing this. I discovered your channel a couple of months ago and it has been an absolute joy to see you react to Pentatonix--particularly "Hallelujah" when you were Mitch-Slapped in the best way ever. I'm in the middle of going through your entire playlist of PTX again because it's really fun, and I just finished watching "Sound of Silence" again. At the end of that song, you go through their library and discover a few other songs they have done, some of which you've since reacted to ("Royals", "The Prayer", etc.) and it looks like you've got a great start. Be sure to react to "Cheerleader" and "Can't Hold Us", not to mention all of their Christmas music. And don't worry, listening to PTX Christmas Music in June is not unusual at ALL. Trust me. I'm an Uber Driver and I've legit been asked to play their Christmas songs throughout the entire year. It's a thing. But before you get into ANY of that, I think it's the perfect time for you to react to some of their originals. So please keep the above recommendations in the back of your mind of course, but you are READY to see their originals and obviously, you're going to love them. My top two recommendations are "Love Again" and "Sing". "Love Again" is an EDM song without the "E". It's really "ADM". Really high energy and their costumes are insane. It would fit in perfectly into any club playlist. "Sing" is quite simply catchy, fun, and an absolute bop. Be on the lookout for celebrity cameo appearances in the video, too. They also got their Patreons involved, It's a joy to listen to. I could go on and on, of course, but you've got a whole legion of Pentaholics like me giving you recommendations so I'll just sit back and enjoy :)

Hello G.O.T., Isn't this just great? PTX are masters of arrangements, mash-ups, seamless transitions and with superb vocals. This was a great history lesson too. You spotted the transition from black and white to colour when the colour TVs came in, in the 1960's!! They also have the Evolution of Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Beyonce, and Ariana Grande that are all worth watching. Also their '90's Dance Medley is superb!! PTX doesn't do "covers" ...they do "upgrades". They also have great originals. Already sent you a long list.

Been listening to them since their beginning over 10 years ago and they still continue to impress me!! I love watching your first time reactions to their songs because it lets me relive how much fun it was when I heard them for the first time! Since you are loving them you should also check out "Superfruit". That is a duo with Mitch and Scott from Pentatonix and they have original songs but also do mashup covers like Pentatonix does.
