Idea: Glue the safety pins closed so that you still get the good look, but they're less dangerous
@user-by6kx7pv2d7 жыл бұрын
Or...or... don't be a fucking pansy.
@AutumnMourning7 жыл бұрын
Yea because taking simple precautions to avoid annoyance and mild pain makes someone a "pansy"
@user-by6kx7pv2d7 жыл бұрын
Autumn Mourning if you cant handle being pricked with a safety pin i think you should get checked out by a medical professional.
@AutumnMourning7 жыл бұрын
buzz bomb uhh All my piercings were done by myself, it's not a matter of whether or not I can handle a bit of pain, but if it can be prevented then why not? As for handling pricks well I'm used to it, obviously.
@user-by6kx7pv2d7 жыл бұрын
Autumn Mourning ha ha, smooth. i just find it pointless. and i think if you can't think "shit my pins keep coming undone, what could i possibly do to fix this" and you have to have someone TELL YOU to glue them shut, you might be ill in the head.

I was obsessed with The Crow when it first came out (I was a teenager). I would paint my face like his and sit around. Some old lady thought I was a "weird mime" and I was so offended. I find it pretty funny now! Great ideas. New sub.

Fashion can be dangerous. I got stabbed on the legs by safety pins a few times. Also, the safety pins on my pants got stuck in things when I was standing very close to some objects and there was this one time when I got stuck to a chair.

Oh, this is a lovely vid! I'm, er... whatcha might call an elder goth :) My husband and I met at Rocky Horror a long time ago, and we're also huge Bowie fans. It was really touching when you referred to him as "our star prince." I was so crushed at his loss. I even got a memorial tattoo. Anyway, I admire your style, and your excellent artistic skills. If you're worried about safety pins coming undone and stabbing you I think you could probably seal them shut with a pair of pliers or something, just by squeezing them in the place where the needle rests

Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing your ideas! But one question: Does the acrylic colour stay on after washing? I have been looking for so long for good colours to paint clothes.
@AutumnMourning7 жыл бұрын
I have clothes that I painted years ago and washed many times, the acrylic hasn't budged! I am not careful with my laundry either. Nothing separated, no special cycle, everything just gets dumped in and washed the same ^_^
@AlyFreiheit986 жыл бұрын
Autumn Mourning is it the same acrylic you can use on paintings and stuff or is it for fabrics?
@navygirl5468 жыл бұрын
Ah I love your Krampus sleeves! Do you mind me asking how you did that?
@AutumnMourning8 жыл бұрын
It's so easy! Just lay the shirt flat and cut horizontal lines into the sleeves about 1/2 inch apart or so, leaving the outer and inner part intact so they simply hang in ribbons! Hope that helps ☺️
@navygirl5468 жыл бұрын
+Autumn Mourning Thank you! I'll have to try that! 😄
@candicebe2878 жыл бұрын
Will acrylic paint fade in the wash? I found a great way to "clean" my DIY clothes that I'm too afraid to put in the wash. You take your pants or shirts or whatever in a plastic bag (one shirt for each bag) and stick it in your freezer! Yes, the freezer! It will kill the bacteria or germs that make the clothes not smell so fresh. (the guy who made Levi's jeans also does this to make his pants stay looking new longer) I've tried it and it totally works, and don't forget if they get really dirty you can spot clean with a rag and soap OR if you must put it in the washer, use a lingerie bag (the bag with netting to put delicates in) . I hope this helps someone out there and congrats of you've read all the way to the end here . Lol . Much love everybody!

Thank you for the awesome advice! I had no idea 😊

how do you get your school to let you wear the safety pins in your clothes when they won't even let you wear a shirt that shows your shoulders
@AutumnMourning7 жыл бұрын
It kinda depends on how much you want to butt heads with your school authority. Its total bullshit that dress codes are so strict in schools, so if you want to combat it, more power to you. I was in college when I made this video and colleges tend not to give a shit what you wear so long as you're relatively "decent". Hemlines and shoulders aren't an issue anymore after high school, so luckily I never had an issue. I hope you can find a way to stay true to yourself and be expressive without the issue of being hassled by your teachers, but sadly you may have to wait till you're out of primary school to have total freedom of your appearance.

You said you painted your pants with acrylic paint, does it rub off or crack with wear? Especially on the butt cheeks LOL. And I would totally do that if I had any artistic ability but I would attach the patches with different color thread instead of safety pins.
@AutumnMourning8 жыл бұрын
Large areas of paint may crack a bit, but I've used acrylic on all of my clothes projects and have found it to work and last very well :)
@eternalypissed8 жыл бұрын
Autumn Mourning And what about washing? Do you have to do it by hand?
@AutumnMourning8 жыл бұрын
Nope ^_^ I am very lazy so everything goes in the wash as normal. I had 1 shirt that the white paint came off of for some reason but that was the only time I've ever had a problem. I repainted it and it was fine, so Idk what really happened xD

Who doesn't want Krampus on a shirt? Everyone who thinks Christmas is a load of bollocks,myself included. On the rare occasions on which I see a goth,I am half tempted to say I thought that you lot went extinct about the turn of the millennium? I actually like Goths a lot and have quite a bit in common with them but I still find them baffling and often somewhat snobbish which is off putting,however that might be an Irish thing.
@AutumnMourning7 жыл бұрын
Well commercially speaking Christmas is just a load of crap but then again most major companies promote the "Christian" family Christmas, not a demon anti-Santa...There are loads of Goths in the world, so I don't really understand the extinction thing, and also I know of quite a few Irish goths so again, I am confused on how that's relevant...Thanks for critiquing I guess?
@wradford19907 жыл бұрын
Awh I am sorry about coming across as a shit. I love Krampus and I also loved Christmas when I was little. I just hate it being forced down my throat like it is now. The extinction thing was me having a laugh at how rare Goths appear to be especially around the area I live in. Bar one (arguably three) Goths I have meet have been somewhat uppity. I don't know why they act that way. Goths from what I've gathered tend to be very sweet natured people. Once again I apologise for being unpleasant, as you seem like a lovely lady.
@AutumnMourning7 жыл бұрын
I will completely agree that major corporations have turned Christmas into a money making free for all which is total shit, but I do still enjoy the family time anyways. I'm sorry I misunderstood, I just thought you sounded a bit critical, but no hard feelings ^_^ Thanks for watching and commenting, its nice to hear what people have to say!
@wradford19907 жыл бұрын
I forgot to add that I thought a snobbish mindset was a part of the Irish goth mentality. But I do like Goths a lot. There is something very endearing about them. Almost like they never quite lose a childlike sense of fun. Something I wish I still had.
@AutumnMourning7 жыл бұрын
I suppose when you dress up most everyday it is easy to compare us to kids playing make believe except we turn make believe into our own realities :) I wish I still had the imagination that I possessed as a child, but staying true to myself has certainly brought some of it back for me. Maybe you will find yours someday, too

It is still a pentagram when inverted, but that does change the meaning. A cross can be displayed both upright and upside down as well, it doesn’t change the fact that it is a cross haha
