Always remember: Kris is a comedian and I think half way threw she remembered it herself and tryed to be funny while doing the make up. Then she messed it up and makes jokes over herself (she has very bad depressions and is in therapy) and then she felt bad for joking and apologized. I think we should accept her regrets. ^^

Kris is awesome, she's mainly a comedy channel so while her attempt was probably somewhat serious, she was most likely aware her lack of skill would turn the video into laughter at her own expense.

Kris is an ex-pat Canadian from in or around Vancouver, I believe and fancies herself a bit of a comedian. I actually believe her when she says she thinks Goths are bad-a$$ and respects the folks that commit to the aesthetics of Goth. Where she fell down - Goth is always about the music first (or it used to be anyway) and rather than the "freshly Deceased" look she latched onto a more Death Metal look than a Goth. Overall, she was sort of amusing, really hyper, a bit manic but did manage to pull off a good looking outfit and even though she was openly a Mock-Goth I'd gladly have some pizza with this young Lady, and perhaps give her a few tips if she wanted to try achieving the look again.

I understand if this video isn't for you but wow! I wonder how many of the haters would actually like her ghost hunts, serial killer videos, etc. but will miss out because they do what many claim they hate. I was a fan of Oompa/Caleb first, and only started watching Kris because of him so I haven't been watching her that long but what I like about both of them is they're a lot like me - not afraid to embrace their weirdness, be themselves, and they're accepting of others. The negative reactions were a shock!

It's funny because I think of Caleb as a more outgoing, autistic, younger male country version of myself🤭 and was hoping he'd find someone like me but way younger.🤭 Then he did! Kris is a lot like me in my 20s but not as shy and with less gaming. By the end of my 20s, I no longer believed in the paranormal and became a "dreaded" skeptic because I had tried to prove my own experiences with science but ended up debunking them. Now I'm fascinated by trying to figure crap out and learning the facts behind all the famous stories about everything weird. Obviously, my thoughts on them are all based on what they show us of themselves but I find it funny that she's pretty much what I was expecting & think they seem perfect for each other. I just hope they're able to deal with each other's quirks and all, especially his misophonia (my husband has it) which can be so annoying and hard to live with. It's always nice when good people can find happiness, especially since it sometimes feels impossible! I was more grunge but dabbled and had many different friend groups since I kind of fit in with most people. My Goth, Emo, Punk, & Alternative friends in the '90s were some of the most accepting people I've ever met. So, the comments here were beyond shocking for me.

I remember my first black lip stick, it was from a place called party city that had make up for halloween, I was a baby bat then. And the white face paint and a black eyeliner and regular black mascara was all we had in the 80s. Obviously Kris was just goofing off. She knew it would turn out like ass and she just leaned into it. I’ve seen her other videos and it’s just really wholesome and nontoxic. I can only watch them in small doses because it’s a lot of the same editing style and yeah it can be a bit much. She’s really open about having ADHD so that’s probably the reason her videos are like that.

Her jump cuts & constant zooming in & out gave me a headache 😵‍💫 But may I say - I would LOVE it if you gave her a makeover, while explaining to her about goth culture and aesthetics. Maybe her goofiness in her video is a mask for her insecurity about trying a goth look? Her outfit at the end was very cute. The makeup could have been more sophisticated. In goth, the elders tend to be revered, which she may not know - so grown-ups set their own standards & don't necessarily emulate the way kids are doing their makeup, as I think she was attempting to do. What you did show was barely watchable. I had to stop looking at it and focus on your face many times just to keep from having a seizure, no exaggeration. There’s no way I could watch the full on edited version. Thank you for sparing us whatever you manage to cut out. You must’ve had a right headache by the time we finished watching it and then watching again on your second edit! That’s real dedication! I wish she had tried harder. I've watched Kris for a while now, typically when doing chores around the house (because when my home is quiet from the norm, the abnormal starts to happen and sometimes I don't feel like listening to it). But even though her videos are chaotic (ADHD to the max) and mostly satire, that video was not meant to be disrespectful to goths. Especially since she has a lot of alternative friends. But I do agree that she did go more towards Corpse paint and definitely could have gotten some advice from said alternative friends. But regardless, I hope the Baby Bats are doing wonderful and I hope you are too

I like CallMeKris, she's a lovely person. She likes to explore and have fun with things, and makeup isn't her main thing, which she knows and is transparent about. If I'm having a sad day her cheerful disposition helps me smile. I feel like Jay majorly let this video down with that "definition" of goth though, would have been nice if some actual effort had gone into a proper definition.

As an older Goth without the dyed black hair, that's the one thing ( well, the main thing) I had issues with. We don't all have dyed black hair. Mines brown and grey ( all natural) with my fringe ( or bangs for the US contingent) bleach blonde and purple split dyed. Also, what was with the weird British accent thing? That really annoyed the 💩 outta me!! But she did an ok job of it, but I agree that she could have done it a lot better.

Cream/gel liner and a thin angled brush are so much easier to work with than liquid imho. Better staying power, too. Liquid is so fickle. Our girl here seems highly caffeinated, don't you think? LOL

I think she blew up on Tiktok and then transitioned into KZbin, so that could be why her videos are so frantic. She probably started out serious and then started to feel self-conscious or something and turned it into a joke. I do that when i feel I'm failing at something

Oh Oh No I actually do watch kallmekris on occassion and i haven't Seen her try that one yet but i cringed so hard at her trying to contour Like normal with the black because she's Not Bad with her Normal Make-up, she usually Looks very pretty with her Normal Look but ooooh Kris, you fucked uuuuuup
