It's sure that WB Montreal is just hiding that Bruce Wayne is alive. Just like in the comics he was captured by the court, as shown at the end of the video that is shown from the perspective of first person, in this case my guess is Bruce, seeing the claws being revived from his tombs. Just like as Rocksteady said the Red Hood was not in the game, WB is doing the same thing. For me, it is not necessary to have Batman playable since he was always playable in 4 games and in two of them the main story was never shared with Batgirl, Robin and much less Nightwing, only with Catwoman.

I always felt it was bittersweet playing as Nightwing in AK since he was only there for the Penguin side mission. He was a lot of fun to play as and the dual takedowns were so beast!! Glad we'll be getting a game with him as one of the leads. Same for Batgirl since she only had that playable DLC.

@@ChattGM I also agree with you. I was also disappointed that Nightwing was only available to play (in story mode) on the DLC that it confronts the Penguin. For me, that DLC was great as hell, but I wanted Nightwing, Robin and Harley to be able to roam freely in Gotham, as happened with Catwoman in Arkham City. I don't know if you also love Arkham Knight's challenge mode, but I do; and just to challenge a little Batgirl was an amazing character, however she had a small disadvantage in the predator mode. She didn't have multiple Takedowns, while Dick, Tim and Bruce could did that.

They have mentioned different suits, skins, and gear as well as making these characters into the new Dark Knight I think that after you defeat the court of owls OR level to a certain point you can unlock a Batman suit for your character so if you play as Nighting you unlock a Batman suit for nightwing that is unique to nightwing same for Red Hood and Robin. I would assume Batgirl would get a cool ass suit as well that implies she has become the new main hero if you mained her in the game

I agree, but I believe they connect a lot with Grayson as well. More so I would say since the first Talon we see, AKA William Cobb, is literally Grayson's close ancestor. I think if they tailor the plot around Nightwing and even relate it to maybe Tim's parents since they are also elites of Gotham, they can make an impactful story to the characters. Hell maybe they killed Gordon. They can still make a good plot out of this without Bruce, dont just write it off cause it isnt built around Bruce,

In Arkham knight, the Callender man has voice lines like "i will be there at your beginning and you death" something like that and at the end when bruce and the house explosion with the protocol at the end of the game you can see him so doesn't that confirm his death?

Batman becoming Talon would be awesome Batman is dead because the explosion of Wayne manor. When The Court of Owls finds him dead in the rubble of Wayne Manor, and they also find pieces of the batcave, finding out that he was batman. The Owls take him back to a ancient source of the Lazarus pit, that not even Ra's knew about. The Owls seeing how bruce tears through their guards when bruce comes back gives them the idea, of Talon. With his memory gone, the Owls are able to twist his memory, and build the ultimate weapon. What do you think, would this be cool

This should be a really interesting Storyline for NightWing too. Because Dick Grayson, was technically *supposed* to be Talon. But Bruce adopted him etc. Before that could happen. So I hope they dive deeper into that storyline with Dick and his family.

The thing is. If Batman was alive, this would just turn out to be another Batman saving the day kinda experience, because the team(batfamily)wasn’t tough enough to pull it together, without Batman being the main focal point. Yeah naw! It hurts but, In the end if you really really wanna feel like Batman, they will allow nightwing to wear the Batsuit in a dlc, don’t cry guys it’s okay!

Not really. If the story surrounds the family and builds up to the mystery of his death, leading to the discovery of the maze, with Bruce lost and half crazy. It'd be awesome. Makes the family actually relevant, showing how important they are to Batman as Batman is to them...And then the last third of the game is just the entire Bat-Family gearing up to take it to the Court. I need to get the classic Dynamic Duo moment of speeding in the Batmobile as Batman and one of my friends as Robin/Nightwing/Batgirl/Red Hood.

Kinda wished we would get a GTA type thing where we can switch between the characters. And when we switch to that character their in their home/base. In a civilian suit and when you switch to them they have this cut scene where they switch into costume and over time you can fight crime around the city or buy things to update the base .

@Caboose Okay so I do not think(at this point in time) Bruce is dead. Yes, A proper explanation can be made as to why he is dead, perhaps in the near future. But with the information we have been given thus far... I just believe the Batman was destroyed. Here is why: We have to look at the context we are given. Bruce destroyed the bat cave and everything in it. Also, as the looks of it, Wayne Manor(Beginning dialogue: "explosion just outside the city". "Part of the building has collapsed" [because the explosions in the cave under it, or the pre-rigged bombs to make sure nothing is recoverable]". "We are now able to confirm that Bruce Wayne is..." Dialogue suddenly stops.) This implies they assumed it was him already, and also the abrupt cut off can be a small nuance or nod to the fact that its not real. Okay so..... This means Bruce is in a situation in which he knows he must resort to "Code Black". Slcmof mentioned in his last video that it's strange they've decided to kill Bruce off by going in such a way that it gives the sense this entire idea of the game was derived from the end of Arkham Knight. Well thats the thing, why didnt batman, in this universe, die in some sort of face off with a villain or a greater evil. Its evident that this is something deeper. If he is dead in this universe than we are saying "okay he knew he was going to die so he destroyed everything at Wayne Manor and the bat cave killing himself along with it" well that arises two questions....where was Alfred when Wayne Manor and the cave blew up?(because he is confirmed to be alive and bruce would only initiate this if he was with alfred being certain he was in a safe location.) And, why didnt he destroy the Belfry? It seems clear that someone or some organization(hint hint) discovered the Batman was Bruce, so he had to destroy "Bruces" home and what was under his home, in which would now be found and invaded... The Batcave. He also had to destroy the Batman/bruce because of the new variables that come into play causing vulnerability with his identity leak. For the second question, if the Belfry was not linked to Bruce Waynes name(In the comics is built into the old wayne tower building) it would remain safe and kept intact, proving he is only trying to rid everything Bruce and Batman related that would now become obvious. Now with all this in mind, would it make sense for Bruce to in a sense kill himself along with everything, or to strategically resort to a Knightfall protocol as we saw in arkham knight? Batman does not simply lose and give up. The only way he would die is if he was killed in battle so to speak. As we can tell he wasnt killed because he initiated Code Black.

Man I really hope that Selina Kyle/Catwoman will be playable. Maybe in a future dlc that could give us her story arc about how she was affected by Batman’s death. To me that would make sense because she is apart of the Bat Family. And plus it would be very interesting to see the interactions with Selina and the other Knights. Also a Catwoman vs Talon fight would be AWSOME!!

Theory that I think would be perfect as this game. Jason had something to do with Bruce’s death, obviously he wouldn’t have tried to kill Bruce (him being able to come to Gotham not branded as a enemy shows that him as Bruce worked things out) maybe someone who Jason wronged In the past or maybe he died while him and Jason were on patrol or something. Maybe that’s why Jason is non lethal to persevere the image of the bat family since he’s back in Gotham and working with family

I think WB Montreal said he was dead dead in this game is because what if Rocksteady wanted to pick up after Arkham Knight once they finish with Sucide Squad and they can't since Batman now is alive. I think they left him Dead for Rocksteady to bring him back if they ever do make another Batman game? Although GK isn't part of the Arkham Games Rocksteady worked on so idk tbh.
