I think that Edward actually proved Oswald right with this action. Ed's love for Kristen Kringle was a selfish love. Even after death she is an object of obsession over which he leaves riddles. Same with Isabella, only she was an even more tempting obsession because she obsessed back and looked exactly like Kristen. But Oswald is the only one whom he cares about enough to leave his body alone and send off to a simple watery grave.

Just gonna go on every clip of Robin Lord Taylor playing penguin and praise the fuck out of him because he is without doubt the character/actor who carries this show. He turned one of the most hated characters from the comics into one of the most loved in this show. Robins ability to seem sweet yet murderous and also show emotions blows my mind every time. I feel so much for the penguin because of how Robin plays him. He deserved an Emmy for this role. Hands down.

My theory, ed does still care. Didn't shoot him as bad as he could, so I'm sure he's alive. He gets pulled out of the water later and wakes up bandaged by Hugo strange. Fish found him flouting unconsciously in the water across the bay. They team up sense Oswald spared fish, and fish saved him. It only makes sense. Then again its just a thought to what I think happens.

I think so too. Ed's not just heartbroken because Isabella died but because it was Penguin, who he considered his trusted best friend, who killed her. In other words, Ed felt betrayed. Not saying that there's still a Nygmobblepot romance there (or if there will be in future episodes, which is unlikely because the ship's kinda "dead"); it's just that they broke their friendship.

Fish and Hugo should be the ones to bring him back to life.

2:04 at that moment, I could hear the original Danny elfman penguin death music in Batman returns. The part where he falls down dead and his babies come to bury him. Which is sad because in that version of Batman, the penguin wasn't the true main villain. Even though he tried to kill a group of children earlier but he wasn't the main villain to the story. Christopher Walken's character Max from my point of view was the true villain. But in this version of the DC icon, the penguin is evil and the way he's supposed to be. You can disagree with me if you choose to, but it's just from my point of view. although Danny devito and this guy are both great penguins.
