@@kasrakko7232 Disagree, I consider Arkham City the "worst" of the Arkham games. Now, that's not saying it's a bad game by any means, it's still definitely in the top 10 best games of all time. Even the "worst" Arkham game is still an incredibly good game. It's just the other Arkham games all exceed it in various ways. Asylum exceeds it in atmosphere and being a Metroidvania (even though combat isn't as good). Origins also exceeds it in atmosphere, story, and boss fights. Knight exceeds it in every way but boss fights. Knight has a HUGE weak spot when it comes to boss fights.

There are some good thing’s definitely in Gotham Knights. But the camera angles, sound and look of Gotham in Arkham is just superior. Batgirls fight animations are probably better in GK but the execution with how it slows down and the camera moves in AK is miles beyond as well as the environmental interactions and speed of the combat

I disagree. Not that I want to her to become orphan again. But it's a MAJOR problem that DC keeps her shuttered as Batgirl after all these years when literally every Robin except the most recent have their own identity now and Wally has gone from sidekick to the Flash and so on. Kara (supergirl) and other legacy heroes like Connor (superboy) have the same issue. By now Barbara should have grown into her own identity and either Stephanie Brown or Cassandra Cain should have taken over as Batgirl (before growing into their own mantles). I mean heck, Babs was originally older than Dick. Now Dick has gone from being Robin to Nightwing and taking over as the premier hero team leader. Babs is STILL Batgirl and sometimes oracle. This is in current comics. Like WTF.

@@Deathstro It isn't in the same universe no, but it shares the same premise of where Arkham Knight ended; with Batman dead after he said his farewell to all his allies who he believed in. It was also a Red Hood origin story. It definitely felt like a game with Red Hood, Nightwing, Catwoman and Robin was being planned. They were also hinting at a game with Superman with Lex Luthor/Lex Corp being mentioned, not to mention how they made a lot of those characters playable in the game. I think it's obvious that, originally, Gotham Knights was going to be a sequel to Arkham Knight where you play as the Bat family after Batman dies, but they changed it to be a separate story to make Batgirl playable make sense in context of the story.

There’s also little things in Gotham Knights that just makes the city feel real, for example most of the buildings windows have fully rendered interiors, kind of like the Spider-Man games, it looks really nice.

In Arkham knights there a billboards neon signs advertising everywhere like real cities and that’s just talking about lighting. But for textures sometimes there just aren’t any my time in Gotham knights I experienced walls with no texture same with floors. But in (A)Knight Everything looked more which is what the goal should be. Just because a game comes out in a later doesn’t mean it has to look better (A)Knight was given more effort then (g)Knights and to me it showed from the minute I loaded G)Knights.

Arkham games are based on the Batman animated series from the 90s. Rocksteady made Arkham Asylum, City, and Knight. All three are fucking S-tier. Guess which one was made by WB…Arkham Origins, no involvement from Rocksteady there and that game is fucking mid and forgettable. Gotham Knights is worse than Arkham Origins..which makes it like a 3/10 if I compare it with the Arkham games but the devs keep stating that Gotham is not an Arkham game even though they essentially chopped the Batman Arkham games’ combat mechanics into pieces and rationed the pieces among Red Hood, Robin, and Batgirl..seems like counters were too complicated for them so they opted for the dodge mechanic instead..turning GK into a very very very shitty souls-like. When I have to fight a shit ton of enemies I just hit them until I can grab and throw them..then I detonate Red Hoods mine thingys, rinse and repeat. I might use his grenade but otherwise im shooting everyone, using only heavy attacks, and throwing everyone. Yes very bad ass. Even though they copied the vent movement, the interrogations, the vehicle summon, some of the key bindings, artistic stylings from lens flares to how the game was colour graded..WB saw how successful the Arkham games were and simply made an unrelated Batman game in terms of the universe it takes place in while fumbling the gameplay and the story. Gotham Knights is as CW as it gets

Batgirl Arkham : free the firefighter and help him to stand up, use gadgets variously and got lot of different ways to perform close combat techniques. Die if she’s been hit by enemy gunfire in nightmare mode. Interacting with buttons, levers and others tools to manage environment issues. Batgirl Gotham : just look at hostage without moving a finger to free them as if she’s an hologram, use same techniques with various skins to knock out enemies and batarangs. No need a lot of bat tools. And can manage heavy gunfire on her while fighting. No need to interact with switches or others tools than weapons and bat vehicles, holographic way. Just valid them by press appropriate button on your joypad.

In easy or normal difficulty can support gunshots, and not see her moving to free hostages. The moves on fight are less various than Arkham batgirl but more beautiful she gain in fluidity, it’s another gameplay, no parry. As far as I play, the only time I see GK batgirl moving to use switch is when she open a howls nest door so if possible she move hands (and others as Red hood, Robin, Nightwing) why not doing this every time it’s needed ? In Arkham characters do use their hands. Again I very like GK but they’re still things to improve. In other hand, Arkham batgirl move crouch is not really effective, but she walk better. When she acquire chivalry comp, she can fly but Arkham batgirl fly better/faster. Well, maybe I expected too much… fortunately the quest of howls and secondary quests are really cool and Gotham city is far better than in Arkham. That’s awkward comparison I admit and maybe just personal but the video is about that. Personally hope more updates to come in order to improve GK. This game is underrated, I enjoy playing it. Just not enjoy the issues and unfinished things.

@@elgecko5872well I mean, graphically, even though Gotham Knights is still ahead in graphics, Arkham knight utilized the limited resources they had to make the game look as good as it looks. That’s the only debatable aspect. But the gameplay is just way more fluid in Arkham Knight. Gotham Knights has awkward pauses and the gameplay just seems un-engaging. Like in the first clip she just walks right through a turret, in Arkham knight you had to be careful and disable them, though you only had a small amount of time before they could come back online. It actually made you feel like Batman because you had to plan every move carefully. This carried on to every other character as their unique gadgets meant that they couldn’t do some things Batman could, but they also had access to abilities Batman didn’t have.

I don't have much issue with what was shown in the GK clip, but I do wish that we weren't forced to use a weapon. Fir Nightwing and Tim, it makes sense. Not so much for Batgirl or Red Hood. Still, the stealth mechanics in the Arkham trilogy are much better and superior. Combat too, tbh.

I hate that all the enemies in Arkham Knight have gas masks on but the takedown animation is Batman holding their mouth closed. The air intakes on the masks are clearly unobstructed. The only reason is so they wouldn’t have to design a bunch of faces.

I mean, they designed a ton of faces on thugs in their previous two Arkham games. The thugs always wear themed clothing representative of the villain they work for. In Arkham Knight most of them worked for Scarecrow, who wore a gasmask himself. So I'd say it fits.

@@littleoldmanboy agree, in Gotham knights when people grapple they kind of get frozen in place and gliding doesn’t seem to have much mobility. In Arkham knight if you can glide well enough you can basically fly, and when Batman grapples he continues on his normal trajectory before going to where he’s grappled to. Arkham Knight just seems superior in every way when it comes to the gliding aspect.

People hate on Gotham Knights but I love the fact that the game gives you the freedom to tackle these areas how you see fit and there is no "invisible barrier" preventing you from throwing people off the side of the building! That's realistic to me, If you got thrown to the edge, you're not gonna bounce back and be dazed on the ground! You are going off and hitting the pavement below.

Arkham Knight is still the gold standard for supehero games. The pro's outweigh the cons and the only issues were the overuse of the Batmobile and the poor boss fights. Everything else is still on point. Gotham Knights is still fun but unfortunately it''ll always be in the shadow of the Arkham games

As a veteran analyzing both version, the main difference in gameplay is that older arkham knight fights are story driven, click and block, showcasing batman arsenal and encourage you to chain streaks. Newer knights gives you randomness no need for perfection in combat, many different variants of crime fighting events. Old is be Me using tricks wipe out army of thugs in a barfight. New baby knights traversed gotham to seek different sort crime. Old knight is fast barfight, Baby knights gives reason to traverse and seek, then fight. Old is Bruce wayne gamestory. New knights are assasins creeds gametype.

Crimes are the same every night, aside for that the city is useless, the combat is clunky and boring compared to the Arkham trilogy.
