Hands down this is THE most informative video on Niod, ever. Period. Love so many of their products and thank you for decoding for us! It's funny when I tried the HV, I couldn't help but think "this is not really the effect that Renee goes for in her moisturizers...." LOL!

@@gothamista LOLOL Yes the HV really does its job very well! It's just the non-dewy effect is not for me as well... Hehe. Take care!
@dinasourprincessparty4 жыл бұрын
For me, HV shines in one particular circumstance that makes buying it so worth it. Air travel. It is seriously amazing at creating a seal that prevents moisturizer loss from the pressurized environment. It does have a dry feel to it, which I don’t enjoy usually. But that dry feeling doesn’t matter as much after you’ve done an intensive pre-flight hydration routine. Just as long as you stick to mineral sunscreen over top as I doubt chemical sunscreens will be very effective through HV. FYI, I’m a Flight Attendant and using this particular combination has alleviated nearly all of my chronic dehydration and reactivity.

I feel like it's particularly good for that! The CAIS might be better if you're acne prone!
@AaronFigFront4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I use that sometimes during and definitely after I get acne pimples. I usually use adapalene and few backup treatments if a pimple would not respond to it. This sometimes work during I get them, but it really shines after. It repairs the acne really fast and leave no scarring.

Niod is fantastic, my favourite brand out of many I have tried. My only issue with them is they need to be clearer about what products can be used together and how to create routines. The website says you can use CAIS with vit c, but over the phone they say otherwise. Great products besides that.

Thank you for this extensive review! I have had the CAIS2:1 for about two months now, but not sure how to incorporate it into my routine. I find it very hard at the moment, as you can’t combine it with actives such as Retinaldehyd (i use Medik8) in the PM. In the AM i use Vit C. And i don’t want to not use Retinal or Vit C and don’t want to “skip nights”. Any recommendation?

I have the exact same problem, I absolutely adore CAIS 2 but I use retinol, so I can't use it a night, so I've have to stop using vitamin C (it burns after CAIS) but vitamin C is a wonderful active. How do you manage this, Renée ?
@anaserranocorces45514 жыл бұрын
Same question for me too. I wouldn't want to give up vit c or retinol
@arinalannoo14484 жыл бұрын
Yes I understand, I felt the same but decided to use it on alternative nights retinol or cais2. After some research i found out that using retinol every other night has the same long term effects as using it every night. So I feel good with sticking strongly to a routine where I alternate.

I use many of the products you reviewed, including CAIS. When I use the NIOD line I include Modulating Glucocides in my routine. Your review was very helpful and informative as to some of the NIOD products I've been wanting to try but haven't committed to purchasing because I wasn't sure how they worked or how it may benefit me. I already have so much of the NIOD line and there's only so many products you can put on your face in a day. Anyway, I noticed when you showed yourself applying the products you put a few drops on your hands and then pat the product into your face. I think I use too much product - generally I end up using 6 or 7 drops or whatever amount that is needed to cover every inch of my entire face and neck, if I happen to be using the product on my neck. What is the proper way to apply these products? How much should one use to get effective coverage? Thank you for reviewing these products and for your knowledge and dedication to skincare.

I have just started to use Niod, a lot to take in and try to understand what to take first and what to use in the end. Like now i always start with the mist, and take a spritz in the end to. And sometimes during the day. I follow up with copper amino isolate activator and then the multi-molecuar hyaluronic complex, i have not bought the cleanser or the eyecream yet, but that will be the next on my list. Because i can not believe how different my skin looks now just after a month..this is for sure something special, i am hooked. !! I have also the Photography fluid opacity 8%, that gives a hint of bronzed skin, i am not sure what i tnink of that one yet...i have fair skin so i have to be careful with it. The last thing i bought is modulating glucosides, have not started to use it yet because i dont know if i should use it every day, and between or after what of the other products? Can you give me a answer to that Gothamista?? It is a lot to understand and a whole ney different way to think about healthcare, this is pure sciense..! I am 48 years old, have always looked after my skin, but it has never looked better. I dont like to use it under make up, i dont know why but that is not function with me, it look patchy, and nearly dirty if i use foundation. Any toughts around that?

that sounds exactly like my skin, can i ask what you use for the dehydration? i have terminally dehydrated skin (probably partially from prescription retinol, but if i stop using it my acne is overwhelming) i can’t find anything to help the dehydration that doesn’t have HA and is effective, until NIOD but i really don’t have the money for it. so if you have any suggestions??

kfidjwh - I’ve found a Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide that don’t break me out! I use Medik8 Hydr8 (this is pricey) and Stratia Liquid Gold :)

I've been trying to remain simple and efficient with my skincare lately as I was always looking for the next best thing (which is exhausting to be fair) so this range, while being interesting, is too complicated (and pricey) for me.

Wow I had only heard about the NIID Photofluids before this. I have so many things I want to try now. Thanks so much for all of your insight. I wish the promotion you listed in the info box wasn’t just on Instagram since I recently deleted my account - but would love to hear what the outcomes are of the 10 different consultations. I might find a good routine to try out based on what people’s skin types are!
