All the tourism soon will have destroyed this little island...
@martinmueller1967 Жыл бұрын
Why do you think that?
@henriettanovember4733 Жыл бұрын
@@martinmueller1967 I do not think it I know it as this island is my family home for many generations. The tourists are everywhere. We do not have enough water in the summers due to too many people coming to the island. People camp everywhere with no respect for nature or other people's property. The demand for summerhouses so big that farmers sell land and take down forest to sell for building new summerhouses...the list can go on and on. More and more old farms are sold as summerhouses to people from the mainland, from Germany or other parts of Europe...I wish it was not so. I wish we had laws in Sweden to deal with this. I wish it was not all about money. I wish there were a way to have sustainable tourism and a way to have sustainable summerhouse-living on this island. But as long as Money is what decides this will never be so. I wish I could see less tourists every summer and see tourists that walk gently on my island with respect for nature and that I when I see a tourist could greet them from my heart and say :Welcome! Perhaps one day...(I do hope you do not find me wicked for writing this but it is a sorrow to see my home island more and more strain under the pressure of tourism. Of course there are decent tourists too who are very respectful. But they are too few these days...)

@@henriettanovember4733 Thank you for your detailed reply. I can absolutely understand your opinion. There are too many people on this planet and money rules the world. It's a tragedy, but unfortunately the truth. There are people who respect the culture and nature when visiting another country. Me, my wife and my friends do this. We really enjoyed our time on Gotland. We met a friendly family and I think we were friendly too. :-) There are just too many people who suffer from nature. We can't turn back in time, but we can show people how precious nature is. I am a photographer, I enjoy the nature and always leave it as it was found. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed the film a little. Best regards Martin

@@martinmueller1967 The film is very beautiful! And of course we cannot turn back time. But I hope we humans will realize that we cannot go on as we are or we will soon have consumed not only my dear home island but the whole planet. It was not my intention to be rude or disrespectful, if I was I am sorry. I am just very concerned about what is happening on my home island. Pax et Bonum!

@@henriettanovember4733 I can understand your concern very well. It is sometimes unbearable how people deal with their world. No, you weren't rude. I understand you very well. Sometimes I wish for an Earth 2.0, where only people who appreciate nature and understand that we are one of this nature are allowed to live. Best regards
