@Sigma77-n2u please check the Nut. I usually use pencil (the black part) to the string slot. It makes all the Strings free to move.

I wrote this yesterday on fb Caparison group...Hi guys! I want to change Gotoh tuners for gold hardware on my Horus HGS..There is Gotoh SG381-07 H.A.P. I can't find it anywhere..Can I use Gotoh SG381MG ? What do you think.Is it gonna fit?...so probably yes.-}

If the previous tuners have standard screw position, you can change to Gotoh Magnum locking tuner easily. I think I can find the Gold Gotoh Magnum here in Indonesia

The ones that come on my Ibanez AZS don't like heavier string gauges and won't tighten on the low E and A properly, no matter how I do it.

I'd suggest cutting the loose strings in half with some wire cutters before removing them to avoid creating nasty scratches on that gold plating or any other bridge for that matter.

Maybe I missed it but you don’t relock the top with a quarter when you’re done? I assume that it just locks with the tuning as well?

@@droidfan you have to set the height with Allen Key. As I remember 1,5mm through the hole at the backside.

Would it be possible to change string by string. Keeping the old strings where they are, and start changing one at a time, without removing old strings at first. Then you wouldn't have to support the bridge with some cloth. Anyone changing strings that way?

If doing it correctly you shouldnt need to touch the top part with a coin.. When removing the strings you turn the tuning peg until the string comes loose.

Another thing to try; just loosen the string, take that string in hand and lift it from the nut. Then hold tension on that string and continue loosening the corresponding tuner and the string will come right out. 😊

My problem with this tuner is it doesn't hold the 5th and 6th string tightly. String is slipping. I had to do the coin stop on top and turn the tuners to make sure strings are tightly pressed.

Skip using a coin 🪙 you can achieve the same result using a HEAVY gauge pick/plectrum! Far less risk of damage than using a coin!
