I hit a little bump and now it doesn’t work at all. When I press down the throttle it moves for one second then stops. The number 23e showed up on the screen every time too. Does anyone know how to fix this???

sounds more than a little bump. But check all your wire connections first.

My gotrax motor started having a grinding noise when i ride for 15-20 minutes. It doesnt make any noise at first but as the motor warms up it slowly gets louder and louder. Ive opened the motor and cant see anything physically wrong which would cause any issues. Any possible ideas?

A clicking sound when the wheel rolls, very regular, could it be loose magnets or bearings? (Damaged bearings).

sounds like bearings....check for side to side play, also just lift up in the air and free spin it

@@DaBinChe It only does click-click each revolution, at the same point. And it clicks more when there's some weight on it. When I tighten the bolts on each side of the wheel, it clicks less intensely, but returns after a while. Starting to wonder if it's not just the washers or bolts.

Thanks for the video. Aside from the physical method of removing fasteners, what was your motivation to remove the plate? What type of failures did you observe after it was dissembled? Were there magnets that were loosened, is there any reduction gears on the other side? I have one that started to make a rattling noise before failure, then threw an error code 25. I'm am sure the issue isn't other than internal to the hub drive. Aside from the obvious visual failures I might see, do you have any suggestions as what one does to correct usual type failures on this or similar hub motors. Also.. from your video collection it's obvious to me you do have mechanical ability. It appears you aren't the only one who has stripped this fastener. I have found almost all the small allen head fasteners on the GLXs are soaked in blue loctite. My method to assure I don't strip it is that if I am unable to move it, I use the properly sized allen socket and hit it with a hammer. The downward pressure forces the threads to turn and usually breaks the adhesive. The energy transfer vibrates differently dependent upon the the density off the metals and this method has saved me from the dreaded usage of an easy-out. One other question, is the hub motor on the 250 watt Gotrax compatible with the M365 [is it a three phase motor also]? Anyway I would have emailed this if you had an address in your ''about'' tab on the profile here. Thanks for sharing your videos otherwise any thing you can share about your experience will be appreciated.

I took it off so I can open up the valve stem hole larger to fit an air compressor chuck instead of using that dumb hose adapter they give. So this was still new. Hub motors are inherently not as long lasting cause they have to take the impact and vibrations directly. They can be made for that but that cost a lot more. No reduction gear, it is direct drive. Not sure the specs on the GoTrax and M365 motors, didn't really look into it. Of all the models I have my favorite is the G4, them 10" wheels makes a huge difference.
@skyviews12054 жыл бұрын
@@DaBinChe Yes, the stem adapter they include must have the softest alloy I've ever seen. The threads on mine failed rather quickly, I 'zoned one for a couple of bucks and haven't had an issue yet. I was researching what I should expect if/when I open mine up. Also making a plan B as if I am unable to repair mine, the replacements for the Gotrax are out of stock but the M365s are readily available. I know the wheel size is the same on both, do you happen to remember if the M365 wheel is a three phase setup or what the connector looks like? I kinda have a suspicion that the magnets became loose on mine. Any further information you could add I'd appreciate. And yea the G4 looks like significantly more vehicle. It appears they have added front disk brakes also. Have you had to fix a rear wheel flat yet? Anyway thanks for the response.

@@skyviews1205 G4 doesn't have a front brake. What they show on the website is a prototype. But it does have provisions for a front brake. I haven't had time to look into find one for it.

I can see why your hands are banged up so badly. This was a terrible demonstration as to how to open the plate. It was funny watching you mess around until you figured out how to use several screw drivers to pry the plate off. Way too funny. And to do this when an extender would have worked? I can imagine how much contamination you introduced into the motor during this work.

@overkillx72 жыл бұрын
Yeah deff don't do this....you actually just hold the tire in your hands and gently "hit" the other side over a soft rag and the hub will pop right up...but DON'T HIT the side with the wiring unless you wanna rewire the stator...kinda obvious but i'm dumb and had to do this lol. Use a rubber mallet to reinstall hubs.
