I love Strictly way better than our Dancing with the Stars. There're thing we do better in that show in the U.S., but the overall feel and fun you guys have there is better than ours. Here's so commercialized, the full program that is.

After seeing Shirley in this number, I now want to see some numbers this year with the judges dancing. This is my first real exposure to Shirley (I'm more familiar with her son Mark and her ex-husband Corky from DWTS), and it's easy to see that she was the more talented half of the Ballases. I'm looking forward to seeing what she brings to the show!

Ive always watched DWTS until they fired the Harold Wheeler Band which ruined it for me. Ive always enjoyed Marks routines and enjoyed the couple of seasons Corky did and yes you can see who trained the pair of them shes fantastic. She trained the Houghs aswell so between the 3 of them she trained the winners of 9 of the 25 seasons over there

Lee Cox little bit more background for you, Shirley also taught Derek and Julianne Hough from when they were children. She is one of the best dancers ever in Latin.

I know she also taught (and practically adopted) Derek and Julianne everything they know. I was speaking mainly of her direct familial connections via marriage to Corky and by blood to Mark. As I said, this is my first real exposure to her as anything other than Corky's ex-wife, Mark's mother, and Derek and Julianne's foster mother. I'm looking forward to getting to know her as a judge on SCD and as a professional DanceSport champion in her own right.

Not just the Houghs but practically all of the pros in DWTS when it first got out underwent her training (not the recent ones)--maybe not as long as the Houghs who were trained since childhood. There are videos of her competing around KZbin, particularly her with Corky. :) And she makes dancing look so easy. :) I think she is the perfect choice for a judge.

I completely agree, there should be more of the judges dancing. Darcey Bussell has done a Jive and an American Smooth before - the Jive is the better of the two (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4GQaYKFnNmNd6s).
