This singer has a generational voice. He can probably sing anything. You are right he uses it as an instrument. You don't hear people that can sing like this very often. Especially not in Rock. This guy sounds just as good if not better live as he does on record. The other thing about these guys is nobody over shadows the other. They all seem to be at the top of their game. It's not a free ride for anyone. they all bring it. The guitarist is outstanding. So is the bassist. The drummer who I read wasn't even a drummer until he joined this band, he was a guitarist. I can't fathom that. He's outstanding too. It's a shame rock and roll doesn't have the following it used to. These guys should be huge. I know they are successful but I mean HUGE like the big power rock bands of the 70's and early 80's. Selling out enormous stadiums. I'm hoping it happens for them. They are very talented. I have not heard a weak song from them yet. Rival Sons are also very good and have a fantastic singer as well. People need to start buying albums and going to concerts for bands like this. That is what it is going to take for Rock to return to greatness.

also i watched some vocal coaches on his voice and they say they he seems to be using his voice in a safe way, so it’s possible when he’s older he will still have his vocals. I feel like back then singers like Geddy Lee or Robert Plant might have not been using their voice in a safe way, causing their voice to degrade over time
@cameronTV822 жыл бұрын
@@WitchlingFairyelle I noticed the change in vocals in their previous albums and honestly prefer this new vocal style. I wonder if it is safer for him to sing like this instead of the old style.

Josh can sing in a lower register too, but he says he feels most comfortable in his high register. He has a fantastic voice coach, Ron Browning, who has helped him refine his technique to protect his vocal cords properly and to be able to get the projection he wants. I think this allows him to be more comfortable so he is able to make his voice do whatever he wants it to. I just wish you two would talk to my husband and make him understand how talented this band is…but I think he’s just jealous😆

Josh got loud because when they were forming the band in there parents garage, Jake and Sam were playing but they had a shitty P A system that was not big enough/loud enough. So Josh started projecting his voice more to be heard. So that's how it started with Josh's style.

These guys have a sound that nobody has these days. It is very similar to several bands in the 70s when singers had high voices like this. Very unique these days, and the group is very tight. They have a long career ahead of them.

Most annoying band ever … I get the nostalgia but it’s all been done before and done better.
@piotr.ziolo. Жыл бұрын
My impression is that a lot of it has been done before and GVF did it much better, they squeezed all the potential from this kind of music as nobody before. I listened to the entire Led Zeppelin discography again to compare them to GVF. LZ had a large number of "filler" songs and a couple of hits. From modern perspective LZ sounds like an unfinished project. Like a band with potential which was never fully realized, because they had the skill but not enough imagination (or rather they had huge imagination, but they were the first to go in this direction). Could you give examples of songs similar to GVF which were actually better? Maybe there are some pearls of music I just never heard.
