The Edvinsson pick is either going to be a huge payoff, or a real head-scratcher in the future. Eklund was my first choice, so I'm hoping that they can develop Edvinsson properly. Edvinsson's ceiling is insanely high in terms of his size, skating, puck skills, and his defensive fundamentals. If he hits, he could very well be one of the best players taken out of this crop. He's a unicorn, in that there aren't many defensemen his size that can skate or dangle through opponents like that. That said, there are a lot of warts to his game that could hold him back. His decision-making with the puck is very questionable at times, and he seriously needs to work on reeling the turnovers in, because he can almost give you a heart attack at times. His shift-by-shift consistency and pacing will also need to be addressed as he develops and gains more experience. So I do have a few concerns about what his floor will be. At the moment, it looks like Stevie Y took a huge gamble, but I at least appreciate that he's swinging for the fences, even if he doesn't connect with this one.

But Ottawa picking players that had dads that played in the NHL previously is working out not bad, Brady Tkachuk, Jake Sanderson, now Tyler Boucher. Said he could become a Josh anderson type. And 6th..... This a good movr for both teams Rangers forcrd to eat 1.5mil for many years which can be seen as a benefit for devils for in divisom so on paper have 1.5 more to spend.... and devils could use trouba as a leader and reliable Dman for years to come..... he can easily be traded again retaining contract in last 3 years.... so essentialy devils jusy need a goalie and im 3-5 years should be playoff contenders
