Troy was an ancient city located in what is now Çanakkale. The site is best known for the Trojan War, a legendary conflict that was chronicled by the legendary poet Homer in the Iliad. The city of Troy itself is believed to have been founded around the 3rd millennium BC, and it was a major centre of trade and culture in the region. Excavations at the site have revealed several fascinating artefacts, including pottery, jewellery, and weapons, which offer insight into the lives of the people there. The city's ruins are now a popular tourist destination and a valuable archaeological site.

hi there. Thank for sharing this very nice documentary there. But I have to correct you. at 4:27 it is written "Nearly 2000 years.." in the subs but there must stand 3000 years like the the excavation director mentioned. Please correct it.
