People say "one hit wonder" just because he doesn't have another hit in their country. Doesn't mean he's not still going strong in other countries. He also doesn't make albums very often unless he feels like it. Last one was 2011. He's planning a new one soon.
@nicholasalexandropoulos28212 жыл бұрын
Gotye is a real artist. Releases when he has something to say and is hardly motivated by money .. what a legend . Im so glad to read your comment. He gets labeled as one hit wonder too often

as an Australia, I wanna endorse his production and writing too! he doesn't just sing, he works behind the scenes.

I love this song. Gotye has got to be one of the purest musicians in the world. The guy doesn’t monetized all of his music (especially his biggest hit) so students can have access to use his art for free in their projects. He’s clearly not into the music industry’s method and I am so appreciative of his art.

Gotye’s song “Eyes Wide Open” is a powerful song. The lyrics are about how, despite all the science, mankind failed to address global warming. The video goes with the song perfectly, but the lyrics are the most important.

Thank you ! --- I absolutely love Hearts a Mess --- Im so glad you are proving that Gotye is far from a one hit wonder -- He is a member from a band named The Basics who has done some independent albums -- some on his own at a studio he set up in his parents garage -- he loves playing with sounds and making unusual songs that please him -- I dont think fame and fortune is his main focus -- He actually has a lot of great songs --- Try listening to this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/apOog5xsa5qWrKc Its called Eyes Wide Open And Smoke and Mirrors is a favorite to me too kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6i7mWueas-crMk --- Its unfortunate that some really creative artists go unnoticed for the most part here in the USA
