Loved this song..Not sure why this is not so popular amongst Gotye songs .. ? Lyrics, music, singing everything perfect.. + emotions it generates.. This will always remain one of my fav songs. Gotye please come up with your next big album..Waiting for your Grammy .. !

Gotye is one of my favorite artists. The way his music makes me feel is much more vivid than with other music. His song bronte made me cry like a waterfall and whenever I listen to somebody that I used to know i get goosebumps all over. His song 7 hours with a backseat driver makes my fantasy go on a journey full of comical and macabre things. His music videos are always very fitting too. I am full of anticipation for more of his interesting content.

I'm living with your memory In the attic in my mind And you've been getting by without me But I've been spending all my time With a girl that I remember Who'll never leave or need to grow 'cause when you left you left your memory Now it's the only thing I know When the past gives me no comfort And though the future is the cost The way I'm choosing to remember I'll forever be the man I never was And you, you fade But the memory remains the same And I, I can't change And I think that living with your memory Is slowly driving me insane You are perfect but you're empty And it gets so lonely in my mind 'cause your image in my memory's The only shred of you that's left behind You were real but then you left me And that's the part I can't accept So I'll keep on living with your memory Because it's all that I've got left

This is a strange case... When I listened to this album I found that a common problem among a lot of the songs is that they meandered for long periods of time, without adding anything new, making the song feel a bit too long and kind of empty (some examples of this are the end of "The Only Way" after the drum solo, when he repeats the line he already sang, but without the interesting harmony and the end of "Thanks For Your Time" where he repeats "Thanks for your time" *twelve times* without adding anything new and just repeating samples he's already used). And yet, despite this being his longest song on the album, I don't notice this problem that much. Even though he does have long stretches of song with no lyrics or chord changes, he keeps them interesting by constantly adding new instruments and layers (or by going crazy with the drums). This and "The Only Way" are my two favorite songs on the album.
