Great picture quality and video. I would like to make a few suggestions / corrections. First, the impeller setting on this pump is off the casing rather than off the stuffing box. The drain ports on the inpro bearing isolators need to be placed at the 6:00 position, as Mr. Sean commented. If you are careful, you can remove the isolators without damaging them and reuse them. Typically you replace the o-rings and reuse the isolators. Never secure the mechanical seal to the stuffing box then slide it on the shaft. Always slide the mechanical seal onto the shaft then install the stuffing box. Its nearly impossible to place the mechanical seal, by hand, exactly in the center of the stuffing box and bolt it down without being off center. When off center, the rotating part of the seal will rub against the stationary part of the seal causing premature seal failure. You can google Goulds 3196 service manual for their recommeded impeller settings.

Besides buying a deadblow hammer, you should buy a bearing heater. Also, you should of mentioned about putting the weep holes in the seals at the 6 o'clock position. Otherwise it was a pretty good video. I wish my pumps were that clean when replacing parts.

On impeller sizing can the impeller over hang the faceplate on our 10in Gould lt a new 10in impeller over hangs by 1/4in

Ya I go back and forth with that one because their is a lot of good resources for them and the one that we currently use has been ruined. If you would like I can show great video that go in-depth on mech seals.
