Just went through a few videos on breeding Gouldians. Yours is the first I see using the society finches as foster parents. I use to do the same thing when I bred them it's the only way to produce a lot of babies. I use to produce over 1000 babies every breeding season. It's a lot of work you can't go on vacation. I remember when the gouldians would lay all there eggs 4-6 normally every clutch I would then place the eggs with a pair of society finches they would lay on the eggs and within 5-7 days you can light the egg and see if its fertile. It was fun and rewarding but I had to stop because they were not paying what they use too and too many people breeding them here in south Florida.

Poor birds. They are overcrowded and I see a lot of sick ones there with damaged and swollen feet / toes. Very dirty holding cages too.
