I love this episode. You two are hilarious and informative. I'm always hunting for a paper that is fountain pen and ink optimal, but also thick enough for my artwork, which is detail heavy. I work on super finely sanded birch board, mostly. Occasionally cotton rag paper, but it doesn't allow the inks to "do their thing". Just yesterday i discovered Canson XL Fluid Media paper. It's pretty damn good! No feathering at all, shimmer inks work great, shading, sheening, all working as intended and there is no bleed through. No warping. Alas, also no crinkle. But, I can use this stuff and as a bonus, it is very affordable in the grand scheme of paper. 🎉

Iroful is not the same as Cosmo…but it has a similar softness and cushion. I would say Iroful is like the love child of Cosmo and Tomoe River. Not a big fan of Cosmo personally - it’s a little too soft for me, my lines on it broader than I prefer….but Iroful - I really like it. Especially the graph.

I just saw a video about Hanji paper from Korea that is handmade, about 22€ for a big sheet, and can last millennia. I’d love to see some calligraphy made on it.
