I think my favorite part of these videos is when you take the paint off the eyes. Your sculptures come to life after that. Love it, thank you for your point of view and talent.

As always. Unbelievably awesome. I see the subscriber number growing and growing. When I first started watching you, I asked,"how do you not have a million subscribers?" Well you will soon as people spread the word. Best paper mâché artist on KZbin. That's great Dan. I hope some of what I watch rubs off on me, as I finally bought all the supplies. Although, I am curious of where you find these cool eye balls from.

GourmetPaperMache haha! Awesome art and a great sense of humor. I love this! Especially that black dragon you made with the lime green in its mouth/eyes. I've only ever done this in high school, in college now, but this is truly inspiring me to try making a dragon. Scared if I tried, then mine would end up looking like a camel/horse. I'm not sure if I'll ever actually find that you replied to this comment, IF you ever get to it, so could you email me instead? Can email me at: xXxW0lfl0verxXx@yahoo.com Also, what is that white cloth you use? I would've never thought to use something like that. It almost looks like a sheet. Lol Thanks for inspiring me to try something other than drawing! If you end up emailing me, then maybe one day I'll reply back with my dragon-donkey thing. Haha! This is great! :D

And I made the hands already and I hate to brag ...but I'm showing everyone I see haha they turned out so creepy and cool! XD except instead of paper stips I've been using a paper clay I came up with and it works like clay but sets like a rock! You really got my creative juices flowing haha thank you!!!!
@Gourmetpapermache9 жыл бұрын
Hi Zane. Sounds like you are having fun! Glad to hear it. I use paper clay once in a while when I want something cement-like. That's the problem with the stuff. It gets hard as cement. And I hate sanding. Still, you can make some great projects with it. Have fun! Dan

GourmetPaperMache thanks Dan! And also something ive been curious since i started working, since im doing the paper clay mainly to sculpt, would it be wise to cloth mache?

Love your work. I'm in awe. I wish I could do paper mache sculpting more, but I have tiny living quarters with nowhere to work (or store sculptures after I'm done!) I was wondering, how do you get the newspaper paper mache strips so flat and smooth? Do you have a special mix? Or is it a guarded secret? LOL. I have trouble with paper getting unwanted wrinkles/bubbling, so I usually just use rigid wrap.. but I would rather just use newspaper if I could get it smooth. Thanks for sharing the videos!

These are so cool! What inspire you to do these fantasy characters and what made you get into paper Meche?

+Batlifee .s Thank you for the comment! I used paper mache with my students many years ago. We made monsters so that it would guarantee success (no one could say that it was wrong). I just like fantasy creatures. Not sure why. Take care Dan

Fantastic! What material are the horns and claws made of? I like the cloth in white clue finish. Excellent.
