This is a very cool catio . I had an enclosure built several years ago and it was great for my 3 cats . I don’t understand why some people get so worked up about it . I think people may be coming around to them being pretty great for many reasons. I live where there are 2 really busy streets just 2 block in either direction. I had concerns about roaming. One of my cats was climbing the neighbors 2 story home and jumping off the roof - and sometimes getting into a tussle with another cat . Many vet bills later and a need to keep him inside due to injury I decided to build a nice enclosure. I’m a big fan of the catio . Keeps everyone safe .

Oh yeah - and someone kept spray painting my cat green.

@@Poppy-yx8js What a great comment! I couldn't agree more with everything you said. I had outdoor cats in years past. And I paid the price. I found one stray who was a leukemia carrier (but didn't show symptoms himself) who infected my other cats. It was terrible. And despite how it looks from my back yard I live in a big city on a busy arterial. Lots of cars and now lots of coyotes. Every day cats go missing and are often victim of the resurgent coyotes. The catio may not be perfect freedom but it is a good compromise, and certainly better than the exposing them to the dangers of the city. Thanks for the nice remarks. Good luck to you and your kitties! Dan

How you made the head, did you use a balloon?
@GourmetpapermacheАй бұрын
I never use balloons, They are too symmetrical. If you look at the beginning of the video you'll see crumpled balls of paper in various shapes. You'll see me cutting upen one that looks like an elongated football. I pulled out the wadded paper and used the shells for the head. I hot glued the teeth onto that she'll and added my "cloth mache" (cloth dipped in white glue). Those jaws are basically the head once I add the other other parts like the nose, ears, eyes etc..

first time saw you do one using a spray paint...which paints did you use? Asking as not all spray paints and acryllics mix...even when I did my wearable dragon...I had issues doing the dark paint over top as when I was wiping it off it also wiped off some of the spray paint.
@Gourmetpapermache2 ай бұрын
I used Rustoleum spray paint here because the color and sheen matched that of the wagon. It was gloss but still took the highlights, which were acrylic, just fine. I don't know what kind of spray paint would wipe off. It must have been water based.

Was that a sheet like normally for the wings? Maybe it was the sped up nature but it looked like some very stiff polymer, or something. Teddy looks shocked. I just realized I missed the news about the creation of ronald mc dregen I mean mcdragon. That one is scary. I imagine that that is what some civilians of some places (even US the first nations) bullied by US may think the country is.
@Gourmetpapermache2 ай бұрын
That is an old bed sheet dipped in white glue for the "skin" including the wings. I realize I'm in a strange mood with the last three dragon-like projects. The clown/dragon wasn't meant to be political. Just a challenge to put two concepts together. Thanks for watching and the nice comment as always!
