It's usually about 5 minutes for preheating.

They do not get hot. I just used my oven mitts since I was getting ready to take the food out.

Thank you. Putting the baking tray under the fry basket doesn't block heat? I was afraid of getting any oil or chicken grease on the heating elements.

So if you air fry fish or meat do you use the basket and a pan under it? IF not how do you prevent juices from making a mess.

Yes. You would put the pan underneath the basket for fish or meat to catch the juices.

I'm not quite sure if you can or not. If there's nothing specific in the owner's manual then you might just have to deal with the beeps.

Unfortunately no. I haven't found any way to mute the sound.

My air fryer was stuck on 232 it didn't want to go higher than that but I turned it off and unplugged it n plugged it back in and it went back to 425

Keep an eye on it. Sounds like it could be faulty. Depending on how long ago you purchased the air fryer you should be able to return it for another one.

A small chicken or roast should fit just fine in this particular model.

As long as they cook at the same temp I would put the fries in the air fryer basket and the ribs on the baking tray. I would just keep an eye on how long each item cooks. As long as they cook to the right internal temp you should be good to go! I would put the air fryer basket above the baking tray when you get ready to cook. I hope this helps!

I would try moving whatever you're cooking to a lower rack position to avoid burning.

how long is the preheating time? and can you bypass the pre-heating altogether?

Preheating depends on what you're cooking. I don't see why you couldn't just skip the preheat phase. I would just cook whatever you're making a little longer just to ensure it's cooked all the way through.
