As much as a retool as is Goryu,I really love the redesign and it gave Goryu into something in its own being and character as it represents the giant tool of destruction that Ace the Joe is gonna turn into if he defeats Maito. He fits well into the Brave toyline too as well. Had there been a repaint of Roadfire then Goryu and Hiryu's ultimate power would be realized by the Ace Tri-Dragon jet formation. We could always settle the name of the Roadfire repaint as Hono Ryu a.k.a Fire Dragon since Enryu is already taken. Also,Joe is a much better character than Maito imo. Maito has no character other than rich kid who's a hero type. Joe had much more going for him.

Thank you for your comment. If Hono Ryu appeared, goryu would have been destroyed.

Though I really think Hono Ryu would have been introduced as a partner for Ace No Joe via remote control or AI like Might Gaine after the Atlas MK 2s have appeared and Hono Ryu would help him in the fight against Exeve's Imperial robot in the final episode.
Also, why couldn't they separate Goryu's legs into separate parts. Looks like the battery compartments wouldn't look like they can take up two legs from the looks of things. Freakin' Takara.

Inside the foot is a shaft that connects the left and right crawlers.

If the feet had separate battery comparts for each legs, would have been easier for Goryu to kick high like he did against Might Kaiser. More articulation,Takara but nonetheless, this is a pretty good review and it seems you take a much more informative and somewhat stylistic take on a review whereas the guys I know who review this stuff are either having corny jokes or over the top stuff.
It is Dai Atlas in the Re-decorated form, it is made with the original mould from TF Zone Dai Atlas. Goryu is a re-decorated piece release by Takara under the Yuusha Brave series, after the demise of TF.
