Yes, only in day conditions. You’ll be safe running those square grouper at night. Trust me, amigo.
@conorsmyth9963 Жыл бұрын
You don't need that equipment to run at night. If operating at night it's actually better to have 0 lights on (aside from navigation lights) so your eyes adjust to the darkness. As soon as you turn on a spotlight it ruins your night vision. Only time we'd turn on a spotlight is if we're searching for something along the shore or in the water. FLIR is helpful for searching in the dark but it doesn't do any good for navigating as it's too narrow of a view.
@cee5050 Жыл бұрын
@@conorsmyth9963 Thank you for the response. (The only one which makes sense) Yes I understand that, but I would have thought that there would be plenty of occasions when that equipment would help. For example FLIR in SAR circumstances. In law enforcement to collect evidence or maybe just to pick up a small target. Also in night rescue when "on scene" to be able to flood the area with light. These are just some circumstances where I think it would improve the effectiveness of the Police Force/ Coast Guard etc.
