Gove played at the Red Mule coffee house in my hometown of Norfolk Va. I saw him perform on autoharp in a bar in Charlottesville in the early 70s. An amazing talent and great guy.

Would that have been the Raven Gallery? One of my favorite places to see acts like Gove. I remember seeing Jonathon Round do his rendition of "Sympathy For the Devil". Absolutely riveting.

Ambled into the Flora-Bama a month ago and Gove was performing. After the first song, I and others in the group were stunned at his talent. Headed back there in 2020 and if Gove is still there, we’re booking him for a Home Concert. Of course, when I got home I downloaded all of his music on Amazon Music Unlimited and watch his KZbin videos routinely. Enormous talent.....why am I just discovering him!!!

I've been waiting for YEARS for someone to put this on youtube! It was the first time I saw Austin City Limits, and Gove made me a confirmed fan. It made me want to come to Austin, and 9 years later, there I was; all because of Gove--you could say this show changed my life! I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as soon as I could!

I had the pleasure of seeing Gove at an intimate bar in Atlanta (actually Buckhead ) in the late 70's called "Aunt Charlie's"! I was amazed and spoke of him frequently to friends. A great player who never really got his due but stayed true to his art. Loved him then and now. Thanks to whomever posted this!

Make a copy for yourself if possible. I don't expect it to be up for much longer. They got me a week ago for two Buddy Guy uploads so I'm thinking I am in their cross hairs. The first half of this show was taken down last year (Doc Watson). Too many lawyers in this world.

That portion of the show was flagged by youtube for copyright violations and removed, earning me a strike. I probably have it somewhere on the old VHS tape but not sure of that. Also, it may be somewhere in digital file form in all my old stuff. It was a great performance and it's a shame someone would want to keep others from enjoying such a masterful artist but, go figure. At least they left Gove alone (for now).
