Govee Lights with SIMHUB - Full setup.

STEPS
1. Buy some Razor Lights (must be Razor Chroma compatible!). Check the link for compatibility.

Working options...
A) Govee Flow Plus H6056

B) Govee RGBIC Gaming Light Bars H6047
www.amazon.ca/...
2. Download the Govee Home app on your PHONE or TABLET. Set up an account and proceed to connect the lights to the app, and your home Wifi. (You'll need bluetooth enabled on your phone for this I believe).
3. Now download the Govee Home app on to your PC. Open it and you should see you Govee device model under Device List. If it's connected to the same network as your PC.
4. Back on your PHONE in the Govee app, click on the Device name E.g. H6056_6F68. Device Settings - LAN Control - Click it ON.
5. Back on the PC, Install Razer Synapse (Make an account)

6. Open Razer Synapse under Modules - Install Chroma Connect and Chroma Studio
Razer Synapse will restart by itself after the install. Now under DASHBOARD, you should see GOVEE as a connected device. Make sure the Govee Home app is also open on your PC.
NOW, to use the Light Bars in Simhub... drum roll ...
7. CLOSE both the Govee Home and Razer Synapse on the PC. (Razer Central can still remain open).
8. Open up Simhub. Turn on the Ambient Lights plugin.
Under Bluetooth/Govee lights, Enable and Add new Govee device. Connect that bitch!
Enjoy.

Thank you :) Literally saved me like 200 bucks (hue cough cough) Things to note when setting up: after you set them up on your phone and connect your wifi , You have to disconnect the bluetooth for the LAN option to work. I also have to restart the govee PC app , When done correctly, your wifi icon will go from red to blue on the PC app.

Has anyone figured out how to arrange the lights for a triple screen setup? ive tried doing it through both the Govee app and Simhub, but both only let me sample colors from my main display.

You can only sample colors from the main screen. Which has been said by simhub creator. Using all three screens would be very taxing on Simhub and not inefficient.

Weird thing is that my SimHub don't show my triple screen there even when I use Nvidia surround and also choose NV surround in Simhub to set up my Govee light bar. Simhub pick up only one screen for me. And also it shows old display pic on it which I changed already 3 weeks ago. So I don't know how SimHub took this old " screenshot ".

I don't touch them mainly because Simhub takes control of the lights via LAN. But the buttons do things like change lighting or sync to music etc..

Thank you for the Video. Unfortunately it doesn´t work for me. I have the 6056 got them connected to BT and Wifi. It´s shown as a device on my router (2.4GHz). But there is no LAN option in my smartphone app.

Check for an update in the desktop Govee app. I believe one was just released that may fix the LAN issue.

I wish there would be a shortcut in Simhub that switches between dark and light scene settings. The auto option does not work properly for me at least.

@@jameslsimsports8514 - Depending of the brightness in that defined area it switches between "day" and "night" mode. You can set two profiles. Like how bright the Goovees shall shine.

@ I came across the longer version of those featured in this video. They are called „Govee RGBIC LED Lightbar“. As they just seem to be the bigger brother of the ones shown in this video, they also might be compatible with Simhub, right? I tend to use them as they seem to be more easy to mount to the rig (as overhead lights for example).

I'm wanting the lights to show ambient light while driving but as soon as a flag gets displayed, I would like for my govee lights to flash the flag colors. Do you know if this is possible? I wasn't sure when I first started with it. But now I I group the segments in one and just find a patch of sky somewhere. If you race a bunch cars like I do, you can get a lot of varied results, but I just roll with it turns out mostly. If you right click on the segments you can group them together.

Hey Boss, it's super simple to add flags. I'll.do a quick vid showing how. I run yellow flags, green and black. You can add mots of other things tok but i keep it simple.

I did this a little while ago but never connected to sumhub, that's very cool. What I really was trying to do was use my lights as FLAG lights, or RADAR via SIMHUB. Any idea if this is possible? There must be a way to get a plugin for this, thanks for the great vid!

I got everything working, and it's amazing. But after a restart, I can't for the life of me get it working again. Any suggestions? Is there a specific order I need to do things? I have simhub all green and registering the light in each detection grid, and the govee linked with the app, windows programme and razer. But it refuses to come out of the lights! Do the lights need to be turned onto a setting on its little hub? Left off at the hub? So fristrsting cos it's brilliant when working.

Do you ever run into a problem where the lights time out and are uncontrollable in SimHub? I had them all set up correctly and when trying to run iRacing after turning off the computer they no longer respond. Not sure if it’s an issue with another program?

I've never had that issue. They've been solid. Are you updated to the latest SH release and licensed? not sure if that makes a difference.

I'm not sure. Try turning on your bluetooth on your phone. Do a couple restarts with both your phone and PC. Also try it on an ipad or Samsung tablet.

That's odd indeed. This might seem obvious but have out tried disconnecting and reconnecting your PC to your network a few times? Maybe reset your wifi @@KevinJacobs-zg2vj

I got the H6056 last week and no LAN button in settings. Weird because my neon light have the lan button. Govee said a fix is coming in the 6.0 app update but I doubt it.

@@jimbo121 Yup, a lot of users are now reporting this. Weird how my H6056 is still working (knock on wood). I've updating it a couple days, maybe I got a certain batch that just works. Govee better get their shit together and come with a fix. A few users also reported Govee releasing a patch in January, so I guess it's due very soon if they say so. Fingers crossed.

@@jameslsimsports8514 ended up with the h6056 as the 46’s didn’t have the ww true whites. So far no luck as I can’t get the app to even show an option to turn lan on. Waiting on a reply from tech support! Will keep posted for if anyone else runs into the same issue.

Another update. The h6046 does not work at this point of time. As for the h6056 there are two versions of the same hardware number. If anyone has issues with their lights not getting the lan option under settings, they have the new version and they don’t plan to release the firmware for them to have full functionality until January. Bit of a fail on govees part if you ask me. Currently have a 10ft neon rope light set up though and it works great. Can also confirm. No need for synapse or the chroma etc. and I turn the govee app off and have full control through simhub.
