Does this device work in an area without wifi? Does it work in remote areas? How accurate do you find it?

It only uses Bluetooth to transmit the data back to your phone. It will sit there and collect data without any Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection. Once you connect your phone via Bluetooth you can pull down the data. We have found it to be very accurate and pretty eye opening to see the changes. For instance we have been able to see our tent inner is about 10 degrees warmer than the surrounding air and 4am seems to be the peak cold spot in the night.

No. This unit is Bluetooth only. They do make WiFi units as well.

You do not need cell service to access the device. It connects directly to your phone via Bluetooth. 😀
