Years later I thought, why would she say that when she knew it was a destructive organization. Well, it’s like when a mentally disabled person has a handler. Or an abused woman has a controlling spouse. They don’t know how to live without someone else telling them every decision they should make. When your powers of thought and reason are taken from you and when you’ve not been able to develop a genuine authentic personality, control feels comforting. Due to that we’ve always lived with it. That concept of wiping out sin would need to say in the Bible “the bill sin hands you is death” so when you die you pay your bill, but it says “wages” so you are paid with death if you are in sin being in Adam instead of Christ who takes your sin giving you life instead. It’s the whole point of Roman’s if you just read it. Helps to get a witness to think.

But, like a good JW I never questioned it out loud or asked an Elder about it. I just put it in the back of my mind and let it go. But, no more since 2017, when I began to wake up. All the changes and flip flops in their teaching are catching up with them it seems. Now they are losing credibility. It seemed too legalistic and rule-bound to me. They always said God is a reader of hearts so why be legalistic? Like, who is worse an elder that was unkind to the flock, hurt people, but made all the meetings and service, or an atheist who was kind and generous? Or someone dead like Hitler or some random LGBTQ person who was decent person? So Hitler, Hussein, or Stalin get a resurrection but the gay person gets death at Armageddon? Great video pointing out the inconsistencies and ridiculousness of Watchtower resurrection doctrine nonsense. I honestly don’t think it’s much of a change however. Watchtower leadership is attempting to eat and have their cake too here. They’ve always claimed that resurrected ones will be evaluated based on their conduct and whether they accept “Jesus’s sacrifice”. The change is that they are now saying that the “unrighteous” will not do vile things after resurrection but at the same time implying that some of them will not live up to God’s standards. But that would be equivalent to doing something vile. The watchtower is talking out of both sides of its mouth in order to get out of a literal interpretation of John. It’s pure Orwellian doublespeak. You’re on point with the inconsistencies about the resurrection doctrine, on how there’s no advantage to dying as a faithful JW versus as a “non-believer”. While I was a JW, it was my understanding that if someone died after knowing JW doctrine (knowing the “truth”) the person had almost no hope of being resurrected. This makes the point that never having heard of the so-called “truth” is more advantageous than being a JW even stronger.

After months of good progressive Bible Studies this man confesses that JWs is God's organization!!! Then the JWs asks "Do you think you're ready for baptism symbolizing your lifelong dedication to Jehovah?" The man without hesitation says with excitement "Absolutely!!! The date is set for Sunday during the next convention. Then this new light comes out before the man's baptism. And on Sunday the day of baptism the JWs and the one who brought this man into the truth says with tears in his eyes, "No turning back now, I can't wait to officially call you my brother!" The man smiles and says "I already consider you my brother and the one saving me from Armageddon which we both know and according to GB Stephen Lett is right around the corner. The man continues and says "Honestly, I've decided to take the "Fast Track Lane" by living out my days in this wicked system of things enjoying life to the Max. Gambling, smoking and drinking nonstop, doing every drug possible, having as much fornications with hookers as possible and when I am all burned out. I once said to an elderette, the "worldly" people who die before armageddon are in a far better position than those who die during armaggedon, at least the ones who died before armageddon gets a resurrection, there's no hope for the others. She just looked right through me, completely lost for words. So yes, even "apostates" who died before armageddon will get a second chance with a resurrection cause their heart condition might have changed.

Interesting points 🤔 My wife and I were always told that being an apostate was worse than death because there would be no hope of resurrection. I don’t know which articles they were reading to tell us that but I think the scripture was Hebrew 6:4-6.

One day a simple man is asked by a JWs would he like Bible Studies? And to the JWs surprise the man says "Sure" The Bible Studies begins and this man becomes zealous about the new refreshing Truths he is receiving. I will run into a police station high on PCP with a BB gun only to wake up in sweet Paradise" "So hopefully we meet again in Paradise. Please don't get disfellowshipped. It would suck if you didn't make it"

I love your videos. I had you pegged for an agnostic, interesting that you outed yourself as an atheist. I thought you might find it interesting that there is a growing number of people who believe we are in the days of Revelation 20:7....that we are past the 1,000 year millennium reign of Christ, and living in the times of Satan being let loose to deceive. (different thoughts on how many years past, but 150 years past is probably the most common.) Myself, I was brought up in a mainstream denomination, identified as an agnostic atheist for several years in my 20's, and now identify as a follower of Jesus (I don't believe the Bible as we have it today is "inerrant", and I haven't attend church (other than weddings or funerals) for 15+ years....although my name is still on the rolls of a mainstream denomination.) I became interested in JW's, as I have a co-worker who is JW...incidentally, once my SO had a dream warning him about snakes coming for his children, and then he woke up to JW's knocking on the door. ) This is all probably more than you have any interest in knowing.....I guess my point is, I know the JW's, and many religious groups are predatory, I still believe a good portion of the Bible is true, and likely other "sacred" texts as well, although I am not that familiar with others. And I think it is very possible we are living in Revelation 20:7, past the "end times", past the millennial reign of Christ....certainly the BIble doesn't give any indication what to expect in the times of Satan being let loose, so anyone's guess is as good as mine.

Yeah Revelation is something that I want to take some more time to understand but it is a big project

It's a completely ridiculous teaching. JWs Salvation is basically just about timing. Here's The Story of identical twin brothers born in a small American town. When the twin Boys both grew to adults one brother got baptized and became a loyal faithful JWs and the other brother became addicted to heroine and FBI's #1 Most Wanted psychopath serial killer/rapist. 20yrs later & exactly 144 seconds right before Armageddon begins the JWs twin brother who'd given 20 yrs of loyal service gets disfellowshipped for the sin of simply watching JW Thoughts and other wicked apostate channels. Meanwhile, coincidently at that exact same time his psychopath serial killer/rapist twin brother dies in a shoot out with cops after he'd kidnapped, raped, tortured and murdered 3 underage girls. Guess which one gets to be resurrected into Paradise along with his 100s of murdered and raped victims?! JWs teachings are f*cking crazy. 😂😂😂LOL!!!!!

The sadder truth is, the people who need to see, hear and really take in what he is saying for their own benefit, will never get past those nails. Presentation is everything when trying to market anything, especially something as so valuable as the logic and illogic that Wally just exposed in this Watchtower teaching. I like you. I just really hope you are the gift you have and use it to really lift people up and out of the Watchtower cult. I'm not saying don't paint your nails...I'm saying do what will make your message effective to those that really need to hear it. We who are regulars already see past the Watchtower fog...I really hope you are producing videos not for likes but to help reach those that are still in the thickness.

I actually had a really productive conversation with witnesses even though my nails are painted. So I don't know, maybe it bothers some and not others. I feel the people it does bother might not be open to listening anyway and the people that don't mind perhaps are more open minded.

Don’t package yourself as a marketing tool, that’s exactly what they do. If someone will only listen to a person who looks like a witness, then maybe they aren’t there yet. Or they can listen to someone else more vanilla, like the John Cedars channel (sorry Lloyd! 😖). There’s someone for everyone. Live your free existence, and pay no attention to the person attempting to emotionally manipulate and control you by saying “hope you aren’t doing this for the likes, hopefully you’re doing it to TRULY help people” 😳 meaning what? Whitewash yourself and delete your identity in order to appeal to whomever won’t accept you as you are? That's weird. I'm out for 20 years, and I always thought the resurrection of judgement was for people who did "wrong" before their death. But only if they didn't have the opportunity to listen to the "good news". So, in a way, this new light feels like old light to me. Maybe something went lost in translation to Portuguese... I don't know. Or maybe I just gave more importance to the Bible text than to the official doctrine.
@katemorgan24642 жыл бұрын
There have been old JW beliefs that changed upon receiving "new light" but further "new light" changed it back to their original beliefs. So rather than the light getting brighter and brighter (Proverbs 4:18), it's actually been flipping on and off. Sorry, I can't provide a scriptural basis for the latter. One example of this would be the use of organ transplants for life saving measures. In a 1961 Watchtower, it was deemed acceptable by the Governing Body. "It does not seem that any Scriptural principle or law is involved. It therefore is something that each individual must decide for himself." Then, in 1967, the Governing Body stated, "Sustaining one's life by means of the body or part of the body of another human ... would be cannibalism, a practice abhorrent to all civilized people." Fear tactics were instilled regarding organ transplants from this time on. For example, a 1975 Watchtower declared, "A peculiar factor sometimes noted is a so-called 'personality transplant.' That is, the recipient in some cases has seemed to adopt certain personality factors of the person from whom the organ came." In 1980, it was then stated, "There is no Biblical command pointedly forbidding the taking in of other human tissue ... It is a matter for personal decision..." For claiming to be the only spokesmen for God on earth, it seems the Governing Body is getting their signals crossed.

I think this really highlights a fundamental problem with all religions who claim to "just follow the Bible": the Bible does not have one unified message. It is an anthology of books written by different authors with different ideas. The "millennium" idea comes from the book of Revelation, written by John of Patmos. Whatever he believed or whatever visions he had included a millennium. But the synoptic gospels were written by people who more closely described what Jesus said, and Jesus was an apocalyptic preacher who thought God would establish his Kingdom on Earth any day now and would then judge people, the living as well after the dead (who would have to be resurrected for this purpose). These authors were describing very different ideas, and when trying to mash everything together into one single message, that's when you get this BS.

I appreciate several ex-JW’s channels that bring out the truth about that horrendous cult. I can see the spiritual and emotional scars that they leave on people’s lives through their garbage man made doctrines. One of the main things that I see happened to people coming out of cultish sects is that they either become Christians or atheists. I understand pain, deception and scars even if didn’t go through a cult but from life itself. I was born in Christian home and had good parents. I lost my mother from a stray bullet that killed her when I was six years old. The bullet not only killed my mother but killed our family. Me and my brother and sisters were separated for years. I suffered from neglect, mental and physical abuse, lack of love and loneliness. Thank God that as I grew up I learned (all by myself, no therapy here) about life and the consequences of of our personal decisions. The bottom line is that I didn’t let my miserable experiences as a child and a teenager to shape the rest of my life. I don’t believe (and I’m proof of it) that you have to let your past experiences define you as a person. That’s why I don’t believe in psychology (I went to college to study it and found out is a bunch of bull) where they want to make believe that our past and not ourselves are responsible for our crimes, sins, faults, etc. . In the judicial system lawyers try to convince the jury that the criminal is not at fault but his past. Tell that to the victims of those crimes (like me and my siblings). To close this rant I want to say that all this is illustrate how people coming out of these cults go one way or another. God is not at fault for what happened to you. We are free agents and can make decisions. Some went voluntarily into this harmful cults and others were in there because of their parents. Anyways if you can get out of it try the real God and if not convinced go the other way. Remember you know you were deceived by false teachers and if they were false then their teachings were false (just a bit of logic here). After all this years (I’m 65 now) I went through everything but realized that there is a real God and real Scriptures that when not twisted like they do, bring a lot of wisdom to one’s life. I respect everybody else’s path in life because it is your life and you can do whatever fits you. I tried it all and nothing worked, except the path of salvation through Jesus, so this is my opinion based on my personal life. Respectfully, another human being that went through earthly hell too.

That teaching where the dead are acquitted of their sin cause they paid the price for their own sins by having died, well what was the purpose of Jesus having died for mankind then, was his death in vain? If Jesus didn't die for their sins, then shouldn't Jdubs be sacrificing animals for the atonement of their sins while they're still living? This is what the Israelites did, they made regular animal sacrifices to their God Jehovah, why aren't Jdubs still doing this, afterall the rank n file are not considered in the new covenant, Jesus's death doesn't apply to them, only the anointed or 144,000, because according to their literature, Jesus is mediator only for the anointed.

When looking at the breakdown of their beliefs from the "outside" it's so obvious it's a bunch of bull! I hope more people start waking up to what the WT really is and take their life back. It makes me wonder if church pastors/priests change their beliefs/teachings and how does the congregation take it?? Are they allowed to question the pastor/priests or are they told not question?? For me organization religion is just agreeing to the beliefs of a man/women's interpretation of the bible.....and I just can't be a follower of any of that.
