Congrats on your Crown Vic. I've noticed the prices on used vehicles has started going down. I guess no one told Delaware that's what is going on. Lol. I would bet that Avenger is going to be a flip.

Your so right about those auction prices. They seem higher now than just a few months ago. What's crazier is that everything I'm reading is saying car prices are trending downward right now. But..., not at this auction.

If you hook up the ford factory scan tool or possibly forscan which is free you should be able to pull the mileage from the BCM.

Do you still speak to Frank in Germany 🇩🇪?
@hullinger2 жыл бұрын
You know, I was thinking about Frank in Germany just the other day. He was supposed to travel to the US and we were supposed to meet up, but those plans got derailed by COVID restrictions and now the price of airline tickets to the US. I haven't spoken or Facetime'd Frank in a while so I'll have to do that this weekend.

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime (Bundesabgasbespassungsverbotsverordnung).

Cars prices are so crazy right now! Auction prices are still way over what they should be. That Dodge Avenger? Good Lord! I wonder if the buyer will back out? It’s already a Dodge which is not good and then on top of it the condition it’s in.

hey Chris do you still have your 09 camry? and was the oil problem ever addressed.
@hullinger2 жыл бұрын
Hey man, and yeah, I still have the '09 Camry and no, the oil issue has never been addressed. I've found that when driving the car around town it hardly burns any oil, but when on longer highway drives, I need to add about 2 quarts of oil with every tank of gas. So since my wife has been working from home since COVID started, we really haven't had much need to deal with the oil consumption.

When are you going to post a video of you taking this home and driving it ?
@MrYAMAHA321772 жыл бұрын
Enjoy these videos Chris. As a former dealer working auctions you had to be very careful and inspect /drive and have some mechanical aptitude before throwing your hand up to bid. Some dealers would sabotage vehicles in an attempt to buy it cheaper, a/c fuses and switches were their favorite angle of attack. New dealer trades were the safest vehicles and lacked the surprises often found in vehicles from dealers with shady reputations. A very disreputable dealer had his mechanic remove the oil pan of one of his cars and install pieces of leather as to quiet the loose main and rod bearings, yikes.

So true my friend. More so now than even a few months ago. What's crazier is that everything I'm reading is saying car prices are trending downward right now. But..., not at this auction.
@anthony19682 жыл бұрын
Chris the reason why the Caprices are so high in value is because they can also use the VIN numbers to ship cars from Australia that's what my buddies are doing here now basically it's a left hand drive car with a VIN number that's already established in the states and I know it's altered but when the car comes from Australia the VIN numbers removed we've already shipped one one of the cop cars I bought from my previous employer there was a parts vehicle we use the VIN number off of it to put his Commodore around the road which is really cool the trucks are going for big money and I know that even up here in Michigan extremely high dollars for municipality vehicles it's always good to hear from you
