Hey Chris, if you need batteries Tri-State Battery in Newark is a great source for batteries of any kind. Everything I've bought from them has been a little less expensive than buying it at a store or from the manufacturer. I saw one of those cruising around Myrtle Beach once. It's the perfect vehicle for cruising around the beach because they only go 25MPH and LSVs are only allowed on roads with a speed limit of 35 or less. I could be wrong but I think the 6-wheeled Gators are 6x4. The front axle isn't powered. Haven't seen Caprices or Crown Vics come up for a while, from a distance the colors looked good.

"Things you wan't to find a use for because the price is so good", damn they be dangerous words at an auction, the things I've bought 😰. Could do with one of those filling cabinets though but, guess shipping to UK would outweigh and saving 😁. Good luck with the EV 👍

That GEM Cart came from Killens Pond state park. I was the person who brought it up to the auction! It sat in my shop for years and never ran!
@trainman47632 жыл бұрын
I worked two years at a Govt Contractor and we had an EZ Go machine, it ran about 75% of the time. There were at least 3 times the unit was off for repairs and missing for a month or so each time. The EZ Go would at times not charge for whatever reason and it seemed the control system in the unit was the problem. It would start to charge but would stop, or display that it would not charge. It was heavy and would last about 4-5 hours on a charge. It took like an entire day to charge fully. Also it was tight to have two people in the cab, you felt very close to the other person. We did not have the utility bed and we called it the Egg Car.

What’s up Chris?!? Keep the auction videos coming!! How’s unloading your fleet of vehicles going?
@hullinger2 жыл бұрын
Hey my man, thanks for the visit today and for checking out the auction video. As for the fleet, man it's a slow process. I've got a buyer lined up for the Caprice Classic but next to no interest in the Lincoln. I did sell recently a Ford Taurus police interceptor that I never really made a video on. I'm planning on making an update video on this as soon as the Caprice is sold. I figured it might be fun to do an assessment on what sold, what I made/lost on each car as well as whatever KZbin income I made on the videos of those cars. I'm gonna be curious myself on how it all plays out.

NJ has their surplus auction tmrw 5/21.. I'm expecting junk already
@hullinger2 жыл бұрын
I didn't know the NJ auction was back. They took a break for a while. Good to know though, but unfortunately there's a Radwood car show Saturday at the Navy shipyard that I'll be at. And yeah, it seems those cars at the NJ auction are pretty worn out. Happy hunting though and good luck!

I used to use a GEM cart exactly like that one in the early 2000's to haul stuff around at my job. You really got soaked in a heavy rain when you made a turn due to it not having any doors. The recharge time is very slow on that thing. Usually took 12 + Hours to get a full charge.
@hullinger2 жыл бұрын
You gave me a chuckle when you said about getting soaked in the rain. I didn't even think of that but yeah, I totally can see that happening. That little EV is gonna be a fun project and I'm looking forward to getting it home.

@@hullinger You used to be able to get these plastic zip doors that looked like storage bags that could be attached with snaps that were screwed into the body as part of a kit. They retrofitted my GEM just before it was retired of course.

I would be looking at the first generation Dodge Durango in upcoming auction. I have had good luck picking them up. They sell for 1\3 of the same generation Dakota and parts are everywhere if you need anything. You can run the Vin through jeep or dodge and see exactly what it came with.

That EV is cool, I'm surprised the range is only 35 miles. I would have thought at least 50-75 to be a bit more practical.

The city I lived in while back got in trouble the city purchasing agent bought vehicles for city but ordered a few with high end options funny enough they went to high ranking city officials and after about a year and a half or so they mysteriously were sold for surplus guess who got them wink wink those same said officials paid like Pennies on the dollar was a huge scandal jobs lost people moved around over what a car sad
