FEBRUARY 17, 2023: The Government of Jamaica has invested approximately J$12 million in importing Jamaica's first two public cutting-edge Agri Spray Drones which should set the pace for revolutionizing how farmers spray and treat their crops island wide.
This investment is not only expected to give farmers island wide relief from the physical strains of loading 30lbs insecticide containers on their backs to spray crops, but also saving millions from purchasing chemicals.
One of the two drones was unveiled on Thursday during the tour of onion farms in Careeras, St. Thomas and it was demonstrated to those farmers of how the new technology operates.
