No body is trying to indulge us in actual points, these are all theoretical points and we know you all know the theory very well. The actual point is we need to achieve breakeven in these circumstances. Following are the main points. 1. How much billions we need to get that point. 2.Then we need to observe our available resources and design policy for that. 3. Implementation of the policy whole heartedly. Secondly, we are talking about Pakistan not about the USA. Corruption could pose different implications for the both. Yet, it is an agreed socioeconomic cancer. Stop blaming IMF for Pakistan’s economic problems. It is not IMF’s responsibility to improve Pakistan’s economy… It is Pak government’s responsibility to contain expenditure, increase income, pay off debt and stabilise its economy! And if you can’t do that… let the Taliban take over your country… AfPak have lot of cultural synergies and Taliban can solve all your problems using Islamic Sharia laws!

It's too bad that the words such as "Capitalism" and "Socialism" had to be dropped. Mr. Bengali is right. There are two Pakistan. One is Pakistan army-run state with its own criminal enterprises including its grand defense budget. The other is a failed and bankrupt state. Between both, there is no point of contact. It's useless to bring the example of China. No need to follow the footsteps of either America or China. Both economic powerhouses run on their particular histories. Pakistan loves subsidies. It subsidizes dead state-run industries. Neither China nor America would ever tolerate this mendacity. Pakistan does it and doesn't want to talk about it. Pakistan army runs enterprises such a Pizza chains in the U.S.A. If Pakistan is serious, it would allow an open dialogue. Have core commanders sit. Have politicians---and not military-stalled puppets---sit and discuss openly. Let the core commanders show their backbones in discussing the problems a beggar state faces. Let the politicians show up and talk rather than tapdancing. There is no need to talk of revolution. Just use common sense. Have Mr. Bengali sit and have him talk. He is the best man Pakistan could ever have.

If you keep associating the businesses of retired generals with the army, then you also need to include Nawaz Sharif's entire business empire, because his daughter's husband is a retired captain. Your comment actually shows the deeper problem in the Pakistani communal fabric: our well-educated and well-read portion of the society has no clue how to conduct evidence-based research, and shudders off responsibility by blaming XYZ. India's massive IT exports are driven by middle-class software engineers, while half our middle-class is out on the streets against the army, and the other half is on tiktok or listening to audio leaks of Pinky peerni. If you have access to KZbin, and to websites like Upwork and Fiverr and you are still poor, then YOU the middle-class are the root cause, not the elite. Instead of wasting time on such debates, learn Python or AI or Photoshop and start crafting proposals for foreign clients.

Please hire a better moderator next time. Debates are not about the moderators but the debaters. That said, the experts seemed more like preachers than economists. Ye na batao "Kia karna hai, kia hona chahye,". Ye batao "Kese hoga, kese krna chahye". A highly underwhelming debate that was not much different from the discussions that take place in a barber shop. If I wanted to listen to sermons, I would have gone to the mosque.
