@@shourjoe I have heard the issues of kolkata metro with various users, the main issue with kolkata metro is that it is still run by Indian railway and we all know kolkata is the biggest city in Eastern India due to this Indian railway faces heavy work load and crowd load there due to this they are not able to manage kolkata metro efficiently . It would be better if West Bengal Govt and central government take a decision to form a separate body to run kolkata metro like DMRC and Mumbai metro corporation it will change the overall scenerio I know kolkata metro don't run efficiently.

@@ABHISHEKSINGH-by8ks the state government will not take any responsibility that's for certain. Rather it keeps presenting the already burdened IR with obstacles. A foolish route change in 2013 is causing two of the biggest railway stations in india Howrah and Sealdah to remain unconnected. The very important Orange line is not being extended because IR is not getting permission to build a foot overbridge to join a completed metro station to the footpath. And many more such issues have plagued the metro Project:/

RRTS should be expanded to all the regions and states nearest to Delhi NCR and it should connect all the major cities that are located just 200-300 kms away from Delhi due to this the level of pollution due vehicular emissions will get reduced significantly. Delhi - jaipur is almost 250 kms , Delhi - Chandigarh 300 kms Delhi - Agra 300 kms , Delhi - shimla 300 kms , Delhi - rishikesh 300 kms and these all cities connecting roads face heavy traffic so if they have RRTS as alternative option it will promote tourism, industry, reduce traffic and pollution . RRTS could be a game changer we don't need bullet train for every city bullet train should be reserved for rich cities but RRTS can serve many purposes because it's ticket pricing is affordable and it is made for short distance travel

Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra and Telangana govts shown their interests in RRTS and they are doing feasibility studies soon you will see RRTS in major southern cities like banglore, Hyderabad,konchi, Chennai and various other cities.
@santanu29Ай бұрын
As of right now, RRTS seems feasible in the NCR region. The reason being Delhi has reached its limits, and close satellite cities can be connected with this system. The cities that are within 100kms and lots of commuters travelling on a daily basis. For example there are people who travel from Meerut to Delhi for work, earlier they had to travel by car or relocate to Delhi, now they can travel from home is a short time. Talking of South Indian states, there are not many large cities closeby who travel daily, even if there are, they are close to the main city. But yes, the govts have shown their interest and probably planning now will be beneficial as when the population of these nearby cities grows (which will grow sooner than later), the system can cater to them. We can already see Bengaluru is getting over crowded with traffic jams and high rents. This can be controlled with a RRTS, people will be able to stay away from the offices yet still be able to reach them in a short time
@jaguarunleashed4935Ай бұрын
ask this question to your respective local govts first. i hope u know that RRTS is an equity project .
