This is awesome. I worked Ozol Yard from 03-05 Such a beautiful part of the bay area. This brings back good memories. Yard master Charlie fed the raccoons every night, it was so awesome playing with Raccoons then going out and kicking cars.

SP's GP40P-2s must be similar to and share heritage with the CNJ's GP40Ps, both have the same squared angular shape on the long hood end.

They are similar but share no heritage. Central of New Jersey had the only GP40Ps while Espee had the only three GP40P-2s.

That is standard for passenger versions of second generation EMD freight locomotives. The SDP35, SDP40, and SDP45's all have that arrangement.
