GP7s to the Rescue!

Late on Monday, we overheard the Oak Hill turn experiencing locomotive mechanical issues, and had stopped at Royersville. Hearing that the railroad only had 2 GP7s from the contract fleet available, we couldn’t pass this opportunity!

do you have a video showing your green facility and your grain fleet of Hopper cars? or just a video that shows all the cars that you have in your fleet that would be awesome to see love your videos you definitely have the gift of storytelling thank you for posting these amazing videos you're giving inspiration to all of us

Yeah just look at the most popular video on here…the grain ops. As for everything, not all in one place, but I don’t have a ton of stuff so if you’ve kept up with the videos recently you’ve seen it all. This is all in a bedroom after all.

None yet…I switched that manually. But I have a bunch of logic rail boards from the prior layout that use IR. I liked them well.

@@ModernDTI Technically the area I model, Fort Smith Arkansas during the 70s era, was not signaled except for a small CTC location. But I am installing block signals to add interest for visitors. Simple photocell activation. Your layout is fantastic and your video presentations are done very well!

How did you create the street running track section? Looks very realistic! Keep up the good work!

I used a strip of hobby plywood on either side of the flex track and filled the middle with drywall putty. After it dried I carved out the flangeways with a dremel. Then it was sealed, painted, sealed again, then striped and weathered.
