GPR V4 Steering Stabilizer/Damper Install

I purchased the new GPR V5-S stabilizer for my 2013 ZX6R Ninja 636. I was so excited to install it and start using it. To my surprise it partially blocks access to the key hole, so If you install the stabilizer you can't turn on the motorcycle! I thought maybe GPR send the wrong kit or I did something wrong? I called them and they said that many guys have the issues and the only solution is to buy a new triple clamp for $160!! I'm disappointed. They shouldn't be selling this stabilizer for 636 if it doesn't fit! They wouldn't help me and I was on my own. I'm returning the stabilizer ASAP and getting a OHLINGS stabilizer instead. You can read the comment section on some older 2013 videos and people had problems back then and they still didn't fix it! Their customer support and company as a whole sucks!

Never used that style only the ones that mount to the frame. Looked really simple to install.

@@motorcyclemaintenancechann2131 I was just about to buy the same exact one for 240$ but the part that goes in the plastic part of the tank had 2 bults where can I get the single one ? Just like this one I have a 2014 r6 send help lol

does it need to remove the big bolt on the top on triple clamp? or just place the top bracket of gpr? thank you

No need to remove the steering stem bolt on top of the triple tree clamp. Just bolt the bracket right on top.

Hey bud I’m not sure if you figured it out yet,but from what I see in your video your starting the stabilizer on 10 and not 0 the top center of the stabilizer is the center pint not the bottom,I have no clue why they wouldn’t put a little arrow or an indicator painted on it,but you are definitely starting on 10 and it’s getting harder because yes your going up in numbers but not from 0 from 10

I need just the post its a gpr that the guy is selling but it had a double mount post instead of the single that I need for the r6 is there a way I can buy just the post I can't find anything

Check with GPR, I'm pretty sure they sell the parts.

Does the Mount come with the v5 version

From the brief research I did on it it looks to mount to the bike the same way the v4 mounts to the bike but it weighs 30% less and has 2 more leves of adjustability, so 22 levels vs 20. I have note actually seen the gpr v5 irl but on Google images.

Honestly, I'm not sure. This was used, I got it on ebay with all the mounting hardware included
