Forgive me if my words offend anyone, but in my honest opinion, it's better for us not to seek Naga independence. I believe that if we were to become independent, the common people would end up suffering under leaders who are mainly hungry for money and power. Just look at the situation in Myanmar-people there are struggling because the government is controlled by the military. I fear that a similar situation could occur for us Nagas if we were to separate. Right now, under the Indian government, we benefit from various reservations and schemes that support our development. In my view, it's safer and more beneficial for us to remain under Indian governance rather than risk the uncertainties of independence.
