On Monday OpenAI have announced their new model GPT-4o.
It will be available to everybody, will be faster, smarter and free.
The main difference between this and the old model is it's omni modal nature.

Is GPT-4o available on IOS app? If so, what is it called? I tried doing a search on the APP Store but ended up finding a bunch of knockoff versions and not the real one.

Hi, thanks for reaching out! So let’s go step by step: 1. The ChatGPT app is indeed available on the AppStore, make sure you find the one which is developed by “OpenAI” and named “ChatGPT”. Its availability might be impacted by your location, however I’d assume it’s there for most countries. 2. GPT-4o is available for all plus users, and OpenAI are gradually releasing it to free users too. Might take a few days before it reaches you. Matter of fact all the tools and apps they’ve announced will be released over time, so some of those might take around a month to reach us. I guess it’s a safeguard they are making so they can control their server usage. Hope this helps!

Hi, indeed GPT-4o is available to plus users already. In terms of free users OpenAI are doing a phased release, meaning they will be making GPT-4o available to everyone over time, starting with 1% of users and adding more every day. Might take them a couple of weeks. It’s a measure they are taking not to overload their servers.
